Good food and nice range of ales and beer. Happy to take large groups, and the food came out quite quickly for the number of people in the group 15.
Staff really looked after us.
It's always been OK when I have gone on different occasions however its not the cheapest, some staff are rather abrupt, inappropriately dressd and inflexible. There is a core of staff who are warm, welcoming and can't do enough for you. Nice to go for a special meal as more of a treat. More...

I love this place but only get chance to visit infrequently and for a single drink. I call in after cycling at Gisburn Forest.I stumbled upon it having got lost on my first trip to GF. It's a beautiful building in an exquisite village location. The decor is beautiful on the inside and in the chillier months there's a real fire burning in the bar making a relaxed cosy atmosphere. There's lots of scope for sitting outside when it's warm too. There's a great choice of beer and spirits as well. Can't wait for the opportunity to visit again and stay longer at any time of year and sample what the great looking restaurant has to offer. Two positive experiences at this pub.Staff and food very good, in a well-decorated and relaxed setting. The steak and ale pie was somewhat watery, but you can’t fault the taste. Great food.....friendly staff and customers.....lovely setting.
A great place!
What a hidden gem, with very friendly staff and a welcoming atmoshphere. I knocked over a just drawn pint of Lancashire Ale and the barstaff were more than happy to top it back up and then offerered tasters for the pale ale as we weren't too sure. The draught beer was excellent too. Dog Friendly. More...
A gastronomic delight in the heart of the Ribble Valley, and without question one of the finest coaching inns I have ever visited. The pub is homely and welcoming, with great interior design and dominated by a bar that can serve the finest drinks from Aperol Spritzer to real cask ales and everything in between. I havent a clue where to start describing the food, needless to say I have eaten in quite a few Michelin starred restaurants, and right now I would book a table here for weekday dinner or saturday treat before any other place. Just simply stunning !!! A must visit ! More...
What a lovely place. We called in on spec, (a Tuesday) for lunch and had a superb 3 course meal - all beautifully presented, courteously and efficiently served too. The 'Nibbles' were as good as any 'starters' and the main course was also generous. Couldn't fault the place or the meal. Also the loos were pleasant to go into, which is always a good indication of the owners care and attention to detail, even if I did have to remind them that they had forgotten to put both our drinks on the bill! Definitely will go again. More...
Amazing food, great service and fantastic location. Own brew beer is also recommend. Great pub.
Great location, great atmosphere, great food. What more can you want?
Great place fantastic food
Many years ago we called here for food. The sweet course was very late, and it was only when I paid that the receptionist apologised. The Cheff had done his back in, and had instructed her how to make custard while lying on the floor. As we left the ambulance staff arrived and carted him away. So when we passed lately, we called in to see what the new management were doing. No slipped disks, welcoming staff and great food.I had one of the best lamb meals In a long time. The food was superb, and we will be returning next time we are in the area. Cost was a little above average, but we got what we paid for. Well done. More...

Great food, lovely pub and atmosphere and staff friendly and professional. Will be back
We have dined at The Coach and Horses twice in the last four weeks. On both occasions we have thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the staff were very courteous. On the second of our visits we brought visitors from Yorkshire and Luxembourg who will be returning at their earliest convenience so impressed were they!
We will certainly make this one of our regular haunts. The renovations have been done very sympathetically and the rooms are outstanding. We really love the beautifully hand wrought signage in the form of Cinderella's Coach above the door care of Trapp Forge's Bill Carter! More...
Visited twice in a week for dinner. Stunning food, beautifully furnished and great service.
Such a lovely pub. Delicious food and beautifully decorated. The new owners are such lovely people and it’s wonderful to see the village pub alive again
We called in for a few drinks yesterday at the end of our walk and we were very impressed especially after we were welcomed in with our muddy boots. We had a delightful afternoon.
The pub is beautifully done, very tasteful with an impressive attention to detail. It was warm and cosy and the barman was welcoming, friendly and attentive.
The toilets were luxurious and impeccably clean.
The Boxer Blond Ale was served perfectly, we could have stayed all evening. There looks to be a good selection of wines and spirits.
Please please keep up the high standards - it is an absolute gem.
We will be back - can't wait to try the food! More...
Booked a stay in July after seeing all the promotional material on Facebook. I became a bit skeptical due to some of the reviews but I needn't have been. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the lovely team. The room was beautiful and well presented. Nothing was too much for any of the staff and they were determined to provide the highest level of service. Even when the chocolate fondant exploded we were assured noone was hurt and it wouldn't take long for the replacement.
Breakfast was good. Dinner was amazing.
I wish them all the best as they take the business forward, for people who have come into the industry recently they've done a beautiful job and should be proud of what they have achieved. I would definitely recommend the Coach and Horses to family and friends. More...
Gorgeous pub in idyllic village setting, it snowed on us so looking forward to returning when the sun shines. Dog friendly too, no vegan options on the menu.

What a wonderful place with top notch food and a warm atmosphere. Just the ticket for a lovely meal out on a cold day. As an ex local returning for a Christmas visit we were thrilled with our experience on Boxing Day and that the special convivial community spirit is restored in this cosy renovated village pub.
Stopped for Sunday lunch it was really nice,we sat in the court yard to eat it was a lovely sunny day will definitely go again x
