My coworker and I were looking for a quick bite to eat near the office and this place popped up on Yelp. We both LOVE Mediterranean food, so we had to give it a try. The food was fresh and the service quick. I had the Chicken Schwarma wrap and it was delicious. Orders are taken at a counter, so everything can be customized and you can watch them shave the beef or chicken for your meal. This place is hands down one of the BEST places in Calgary. The owners and staff are always so friendly. There hasn't been a single time I have asked for catering services (last minute) and they have not exceeded my expectations. Our company uses them for many events and gatherings- not only because they are reliable, but because their food is also so, so good. Oh! Since coming back from the middle east, I've had a terrible time finding a suitable shwarma in Calgary. It took years until the Chick pea opened up. I usually go for one every week. I've tried the falafel and beef, but my favourite is still the chicken shwarma with no lettuce. You'd never see lettuce included in a shwarma in Doha. Nor pickled cabbage, but for some reason, the cabbage works in the shwarma for along with the pickles. Weird huh? A colleague from Prague came to Calgary on business. Some of the Calgary staff took our colleague to Subway for lunch on Monday. Ugh. So I took him to the Chick Pea the next day. He was addicted and went for shwarma three days in a row that week.
