This is a seasonal restaurant that uses the premises at Sharpham Vineyard. They offer al fresco dining, with some tables under marquees and others outside. Reservations are essential for lunch on weekends and during the holidays, as this location is popular with locals and tourists alike. Menus change daily and are mainly composed of local fresh fish and seafood, although there's always a meat dish and a couple vegetarian ones. Whatever you choose, the salad that accompanies your dish is probably the best you've had. Freshly picked and locally grown, with much , much more than just lettuce! Desserts are also worth a mention, as are cream teas. This is a dog-friendly restaurant. Children are welcome too, and although they haven't got a children's menu platters can be easily shared. The friendly staff will happily accommodate dietary requirements, specially if asked in advance. Visited with a vegan friend and they offered to make a salad, turned out to be a fantastic one with all sorts of nice vegan things on it!Just one thing...please drive carefully along the little road that takes you there...or leave the car in the little car park just outside Ashprington and walk. The view over the moors and surrounding countryside and the amazing wild flowers along the path are well worth it! More...
