Irish songs by Ray Cox and dancing by Jean Kennedy give this hotel a very romantic atmosphere. Great breakfast. Maybe add some pancakes to the Sunday menu. I'm not sure if that is Irish food. Staff was very friendly. Best wishes. More...

Just home from a fabulous stay in The Castle Hotel. All staff - receptionists, cleanIng staff, waiting staff and bar staff are absolutely fabulous, really professional, helpful, kind and friendly. Even the hotel owner made a point of introducing himself and making sure I was happy. The in-house breakfasts and evening meals are tremendous, not to mention the musical entertainment every evening and the brilliant added bonus some nights of the wonderful Jean Kennedy's amazing irish dancing. So pleased I stayed here, it really added to my first visit to wonderful Dublin and is so centrally and ideally placed. I look forward to my next visit and can't recommend it highly enough. 5 stars! I recently had the pleasure of staying overnight at this beautiful Georgian hotel located in the heart of the capital. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the owner, the management and the staff could not have been more inviting or more helpful. The room was warm and comfortable and quiet, and next morning I was treated to a hearty breakfast by the lovely Alex who was the perfect hostess. Special thanks to her, to the lovely Leah on reception and to Trevor the manager. I will definitely be back! 10 out of 10. More...

We traveled with about 15 or so to Dublin in June. Since we had a mix of children and older travelers in our midst, we decided to stay north of the Liffey. The location was perfect for what we had in mind, and we were able to access all the major tourist sites (with a 15 min walk/quick bus ride) while keeping the stag/hen locations at arms' length. The place is kind of a maze, having developed over time through one-off purchases. The lobby, reception, restaurant and downstairs pub all ooze with character and class. The breakfast (included with the booking) was a huge hit with our travelers, as guests could pick anything from a full Irish to yogurts and cereal. The only slight knock was that the rooms themselves can be quite snug, but given prices in Dublin this is still great value for money. More...

The staff is very accomplished and quickly offer excellent suggestions on where to eat and drink. After we returned exhausted from a wonderful stroll (following an 11 hour flight), the hotel vault provided wonderful Irish fold music and more than acceptable wine (we had enough Guinness and Irish whiskey for one afternoon). Quaint old hotel in a good location with I don't know how many sofas and overstuffed chairs scattered about the many sitting rooms located up and down many interior stairways. Parking is available if you're lucky (and we are), but you won't need it if you like to walk. We'll likely be back (although I'm not all that fond of the two twin beds). More...

The Castle Hotel is our favourite place to stay every year. My daughter Eileen and I always start and end our annual month long trip here. The staff is AWESOME, the food is great, and we just adore the Vaults with the live entertainment. For us, we look forward to arriving at the Castle every year as a kind of homecoming. We can't wait to get there and are always sad to leave. Special shout out to Hazel....she is our all time favourite server and is always ready with a smile. More...

Visited the hotel for 5 nights to celebrate my brother and sister in law turning 30 and what an amazing stay! From the minute we walked in until we left the staff couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was one to remember.
Every single member of staff were friendly, helpful and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure that all our needs were taken care of. Even when we had an issue with a potential leak from an upstairs room the staff handled it quickly and efficiently. On the morning we were leaving I watched one of the guys from reception help a frail older gentleman to his room with a smile on his face and the willingness to help, it was a lovely sight to see!
The hotel itself was very nice, welcoming and decorated lovely. We ate at the hotel most nights and the food was lovely especially the pizza.
If there is one recommendation I would give to anyone staying at the hotel, it would be to take a trip downstairs to the Castle Vaults bar, where they have live music every night. This was such a highlight during our stay because It had a lovely atmosphere and each night offered something different and fun. Whilst I am talking about the Castle Vaults I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to Brendan and the staff down there who every night made our stay what it was! You all worked tirelessly to ensure not only our wishes were met, but every single person in the bar were taken care of to a very high standard despite it being very busy. Even though it was busy you always seemed to have time to answer any questions we had or go that extra mile to ensure we were happy. You all made our stay what it was and we will be back for sure! To each and everyone of you thank you and keep going your doing an amazing job!
