A cool wee cafe with a friendy lovely staff and a great selection of breakfast items from the classic but delicious bacon roll to the vegan sausage, vegan bacon and tofu scramble breakfast, if that's more your thing. If you're looking for hot drinks, a tasty lunch-time bite to eat or something to start your day I can recommend you give Caffeine Drip a visit. It does get busy on a Saturday morning, if google tells you its peak time expect a wait for your food. More...

Great little place - very good menu with plenty of both vegan & non-vegan options. Very friendly staff and we have always had prompt and efficient service. Personally I'm not mad on the decision to use metal tray-like dishes to hold the food - I hate the metal-on-metal with the cutlery (I accept it's a personal quirk). More...

One of my top 3 coffee shops ever! Amazing almond milk lattes, cool place and vibe, we often recount our time there! Put it this way, we were on the city for 3 days and went there every day! LOVE THIS PLACE.

We visited here after reading trip advisor reviews.
The service is great, the food is delicious and the venue is adorable.
Highly recommended. Thank you for the most delicious breakfast.
My boyfriend says south African sausage was excellent. Personally, I loved the vegan haggis

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Was there on a Sunday morning and had to wait about 20 mins to be seated. Not too bad a wait but would have liked to be given a menu while waiting and maybe told how long a wait it might be as the staff just said they don't know when I asked.

Wonderful breakfast! Just got to Edinburgh and found a lovely vegan breakfast! Husband gets kiddos for finding a place he and I could eat. Great staff in cozy location.

This has become a new regular coffee stop for my wife and I since it lies midway between our two offices since she moved job. The coffee is good, there is always a decent selection of tasty bakes and the lunchtime soup deal is always very popular. The only downside is that it can be very busy at peak times. More...

This South African themed basement café offers a great selection of food and drink including lots of vegan options. The sparse decor won't be to everybody's taste but if you like the sound of Hessian sack walls and wooden crate seating then you should definitely check it out. It can get really busy so it's sometimes difficult to get a seat but they do offer food and drink to collect and/or take away. More...

One of the best coffee spots I've ever been to, and the food was incredible!! I saw this as a recommendation from another local guide who was in the Edinburgh area, and I can't have enough good to say about it. If you're in the area, you've got to check it out, you won't be disappointed! More...

Awesome place. Great vegan and vegetarian options, but not exclusively so - meaning that those who want meat feel happy going there too. The vegan meat substitutes are amazing, real meaty texture and great taste. I also loved that there was more than soy (e.g. almond, oat etc) as a milk alternative. Decor is pretty sweet too! More...

Updated: this was our regular breakfast spot while in Edinburgh. Staff is consistently warm and friendly. Food is well-prepared, delicious, and quick.
A great place for breakfast or lunch with perfect cappuccinos. If you're in the area make sure to check it out. We will miss it!
Stopped in here for lunch on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. My wife and I both had sandwiches that were flavorful and chock full of meat.
Next day we came back for breakfast as they have amazing cappuccinos.
Staff was having some serious issues with their ordering system so no one was getting their food. They handled it remarkably well. Our waitress went table to table checking on everyone and offering tea/coffee/cakes on the house. Tough situation but they handled it admirably.
Food is unbelievably good and consistent. Highly recommend it if you're in the West End of Edinburgh.

Good hearty sandwiches and wraps, with loads of vegan options. You can't book, so you might struggle to get in if there's a big group of you (more than 6). My beef club sandwich was excellent (very tender slow cooked brisket), and the chips and salad on the side were very well made too. I'm gutted I didn't have room for one of the brownies! More...
