Came here on a whim while in the area recently. Sort of looks like a hole in the wall from the older style exterior, but was a surprisingly great restaurant! Remodeled interior design, clean, spacious, new. Great food, great service and overall great experience here. There are very few decent eat in restaurants in the direct Holbrook area, so this is a good option for lunch or dinner, even for large groups. Large eat in area, away from the bar, and lots of high top seating at and around the bar area as well. Plenty of large television screens around the restaurant. Friendly waiters and waitresses, and prompt service in general. There is no bread, but in our party of five, everyone's meals came out very quickly. Didn't seem like we were waiting for long at all. Menu is not huge. It is composed of typical American fare, burgers, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. The burger deal for Monday's is fantastic, where burgers are only $5 (or something around that). And both the burgers and onion rings were filling and flavorful. I have no problems with this restaurant and would do nothing but suggest it to others. I'm guessing they've been listening to the reviews. I read something about a crappy beer list, and something about bad chicken wings that were frozen. This place has been on point. Shitty beer list? Have you had the Hi-Def from Castle Island? Oh if you don't like that it's not the list, you're a shitty beer drinker! The wings are hand breaded and really good here. So either they have been listening to reviews and adjusting per customer complaints via yelp, or the reviewers were chumps. Haven't had a bad meal here and I eat here once or twice a week. I like iPas and they've always had something I'm into, I can even spot wormtown as my second choice if my keg kicks. 10 apps for 7$ each on sundays, taco tuesdays, buncha deals, buncha cool bartenders. In the past 20 days I feel like I've had at least 12 meals here and every single one of them have been delicious! Whether it's the fish and chips with homemade tartar, nachos with chicken, hand breaded boneless wings, or the steak tips on a chipotle chop salad, I have never been disappointed! I've only been here twice, but on both occasions the food was good. The first time was maybe about a year ago and the other being more recently. They have specials daily which is pretty nice if you find something you're interested in ordering. I ordered the veggie burger the other week and enjoyed it. I even had enough for leftovers which I never do for burgers, but I figured I could pair the patty part over a salad for next day's lunch. All in all, I would dine here again. More...

I had the best steak tips here, I have tried just about everything on the menu.  Every thing is good. The staff was very efficient and couldn't do enough to make our dining memorable.  The prices were very reasonable.  The place was so clean. Ate here a few times, food is always good. I just had my husband's 40th here & it was fantastic! The waiter & waitress were phenomenal and right on top of things. The assortment of pizzas were delicious, chicken tenders were fresh! The atmosphere was on point for a Saturday night, DJ was a little late due to the snow but the music he played definitely compensated for it. Nice place in Holbrook that is very large inside. The bar is big enough to accommodate dozens of guests.  The beer selection is okay, not amazing but not bad.  They probably have about 12 beers on tap.  They have a darts area, some recliners and quite a few TVs as well to keep you entertained.  The food is good.  I have only been here twice so I haven't tried much, but the taco pizza was delicious.  It's not expensive, I think with drinks and food we spent about 50$ for two of us.  On Halloween they had a costume contest and gave away a $100 gift card to best costume.  It wasn't a huge turn out, but still entertaining enough. My friend and I came here over the weekend and we had a great experience. That location has been multiple restaurants in the past few years that were ok. ..but not great. The new owners and staff are great. They had a draft beer special going on, half off! It was so cool to get my favorite IPA and save some money. Stopped by last night for dinner. We received a very friendly greeting from the gentlemen in the reception area and immediately seated in a beautiful booth. Menu - awesome selection. Music playlist was on point - lots of classic rock but not the same AC/DC songs you've heard a million times. Really good stuff that added to the whole experience. We were in the area on Tuesday evening. We decided on The Brook due to the time, and Yelp. The service was quick, decent craft beer selections and the atmosphere was perfect. Even on a Tuesday the had a solid amount of customers between 9-10pm, granted the bruins were playing. The price was average (two meals, one beer, one soda and two desserts= $54). Not bad in my book. The Fried haddock burger was a little above average, and the short ribs were very good. Desserts were just okay, next time I would skip the calories in that department. First time in here under the new management what an improvement. Went with my wife and another couple not one thing we ordered was bad.  The tips were perfect and delicious as was the short ribs and buffalo pizza.  We had the cheesy fries and split order of teriyaki and dry mango harbnaro which were amazing not as spicy as i thought it would be.  The beer selection is excellent if you like IPA or APA this is the place for you.  The waitress new her stuff when it came to beer and the menu. So I'm a few weeks off on this review and it's going to be more generic than I like.  That being said, the place is HUGE. When I saw it on yelp I had a vision of a medium sized place like The Lodge in Randolph .  Not so...amazingly big place here.  We went on the Thursday before Christmas so it was quiet for a Thursday.  We were seated quickly at a great booth towards the far end of the building.  Our server came over and was very friendly, she pointed out that everything on the menu was fantastic (I really hate that but whatever).  Drinks came, orders were taken.  The appetizer (Crispy Brussel Sprouts) were amazing, like OMG amzing, but a lot of food.  By the time my burger came out,   I only ate about 1/2 and a few fries. Burger was good but it was more about the roll than the meat, which was a bit dry IMHO.  They could very easily reduce the portion by 10% and no one would notice. Dessert wasn't even a thought, so the check came and with tip (20%) it was less than $100 for about 6 drinks, one app and two burgers.  In my world that is amazingly cheap, especially when there were two doggie bags going home. Let it be known I NEVER write reviews but this place right here!?  My BF & I got the Bone-In Wings (Sweet Chili) OMG! Delicious ... Fresh... & Sweet with a nice kick! BBQ was just ok (I'm a Buffalo Fan Myself Will Try Next Time) We also tried the clam chowder which was amazing as well. For an entree we got the Steak Tips with Garlic Mashed & French Fries (we split). The fries were a miss for us ... HOWEVER the steak tips were some of the best I've ever had (that marinade!?)... Tender & Juicy cooked to perfection. The mashed were so complementary to the tips and so addictive... Flavored to the T! For dessert we had the brownie sundae... Girlfriend and I had dinner there tonight. They have a decent sized beer list so I was happy to find an IPA I'd never had. I had tips with garlic mashed potatoes and string onion rings. Girlfriend had shepherds pie. Both meals were outstanding. We topped it off with the chocolate fudge cake for her and apple crisp for me. Both were good sized servings with ice cream. Both were outstanding. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu. Service was very prompt and attentive, they seemed almost over staffed. Music volume was very comfortable. Visited on a Tuesday Night and was impressed. The bar is effing huge and even though it was busy, I did not have a problem finding a seat or having the bartender refill my beverage. Great atmosphere. Darts, flat screens, keno and a jukebox gives plenty options to entertain yourself, even if you're a loner on the prowl. The service was great. The bartender, Ashley, was quick with a pour, was friendly, plus knowledgable about the different drafts and got me hooked on an IPA called Flower Child. We are new residents of Holbrook and have been looking forward to trying this restaurant.  It was excellent, and not just because it is a unique find in this area.  The staff are friendly and attentive.  The menu is excellent - great quality and huge portions.  The food arrived quickly.  For an appetizer, we tried the brussel sprouts after reading another recommendation here.  They didn't disappoint and were fluffy and flavorful - like no brussel sprouts I have ever eaten.  For an entree, I had the turkey tips and my husband had the steak tips.  Both were delicious.  As a side, I had sweet potato fries and broccoli - the fries were well cooked and savory and the broccoli was steamed and plentiful.  The drink menu is exciting... Multiple draft beers as well as creative cocktails.  I look forward to coming back on the weekend and trying more of their inventive drink menu.  This place is a gem in Holbrook, and I highly recommend it! Definitely an upgrade to its predecessor, The Brook is a good bar. Had a burger, forgot the name, it was a bad ass burger. One of the better burgers I've had in a while. Great brioche bread, patty had a good chew and in house pickles. I'm not a writer. I don't like writing reviews. I felt compelled to write this because it was a great burger. That being said, the beer selection is fair. The service has definitely improved. My only complaint is that the music is too loud. Nobody wants to hear crappy pop music that loud on a tuesday. I was in on a Monday evening. I had  so so expectations going in and was pleasantly surprised.The sliders for appetizer was very good. Great roll,tasty beef and quickly served.Our waitress was friendly and promoted the new  menu well.Disappointing was the Octoberfest.It had the little sour taste of old beer.I also got the shepherds pie as entree.The mashed potato topping was velvety smooth and tasty.The filling was not what I expected and I complained. Here is where it turned around for me.Eric (Chef)came out to discuss my complaint.He was gracious and courteous in his explanation and I accepted that I had a different idea on an interpretive dish.
