The Boathouse is an iconic building overlooking the Mere at Ellesmere where magic is created.
We cater for up to 40 persons during the day in our private dining area and up to 150 at night for a private booking of the whole building. We unfortunately, do not host private parties of over 40 during the day because the restaurant is always busy.

Amazing, it is clean and the food is simple but nice. There is a cafe area that serves good reasonably priced food. However, I would recommen the restaurant with many very good value recipes.

My husband and I went for a walk around the mere! Stopped for a coffee at the Boathouse. The young man serving was very polite and friendly! I had a delicious home made sausage roll and a lovely slice of lemon drizzle cake both so fresh and tasty! My husband had white bait and again he said it was lovely and tasty! I would definitely recommend for whatever food you desire! All very fresh and well presented ! Will definitely revisit and we are going to book for a Jazz night in the restaurant 2nd Thursday every month! Pleasurable visit , thank you. More...

What’s your signature dish?
We believe celebrations are about sharing. Sharing the day with friends and so sharing the food to make the day convivial and memorable.
To this end we have delivered a number of special menus all around sharing, from canapes and drinks, to sit down "plated buffet" and selections of deserts, petit fours and teas and coffees.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We listen to our clients find out what their favourite food is and sometimes their favourite place and then develop a unique and special ,menu specific to their requirements.

Going that extra mile and making sure the day is very, very special.

Being able to deliver spectacular food and service, to be creative with no restraints from a corporate
