They serve a massive quantity of food, everything’s about $12 or more. The parking is easy and there wasn’t a wait for seating. The bathrooms were clean and the environment was so creative. The style of music felt weird but was quiet enough. They don’t have any Vegan options except for a veggie wrap without the cheese, but they didn’t have vegetables to make the wrap so I ended up with a fruit salad which wasn’t really my preference. The Bake Shoppe & Cafe is nothing but FIRST class and over the top!!!!! Melissa set up the most amazing photo booth op for 480+ guests for the Sugar Plum Cotillion Debutante Ball at the Royal Sonesta this last Sat and everyone RAVED over it! !!! SPC has hosted dinner at the cafe and it was amazing- great atmosphere, great food, and super great owner who will do all she can to make your event the most special and amazing to WOW your guests!!!! I have been eating and meeting friends at The Bake Shoppe for over 8 years and I can't say enough great things about it! I love, love the chicken salad and would buy it in bulk if I could! The take home freezer meals are a lifesaver! And I am thinking the best lemon bars in town are made right there in that cafe - the chocolate -ty iced brownies are a close second! Best Ding Dong this side of the Mississippi. The muffaletta is outstanding. The chicken and dumplings hit the spot on a chili day. The zydeco baked chicken is delicious. The King Ranch chicken casserole makes you wanna slap yo mama! You just can’t go wrong. When you read this know that I am very picky and rarely give 5 stars. These stars are for the quality of the food they serve, which is amazing. The sandwiches and daily entrees are nothing less than spectacular and delicious. I often get the chicken and dumplings with a salad and they are the only ones I like besides my own. Creamy fresh and delicious! The fresh baked bread and other desserts are of high quality that you don’t find many places. As with any place around check your to go order, because they do make mistakes, but are always polite and apologetic if they do. Another review here suggests RJ’s and I can tell you from personal experience, they don’t even belong in the same category as Bake Shoppe. More...
