The most perfect venue for our wedding! Absolutely stunning! The staff are amazing, always on the end of the phone/email to answer even the smallest queries! Since our first visit to the Ashes we were really impressed by the attention to detail and all of the interactions that we had with the events team. On the day - all of the staff were absolutely superb. The housekeeping team are absolutely phenomenal at keeping the venue looking spectacular. We had Lisa as our Event Manager and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. As someone who is very detailed I felt reassured that Lisa was on top of everything - she went above and beyond. We’ve had so many comments about how amazing the venue was and all of the details that went into it. Just like to thank the Ashes for making our day better than we ever imagined. Nothing was to much to ask for when liaising with our wedding coordinator Lisa, even when we forgot to email her with a plan of where we wanted all our decorations it still ended up better than we could have imagined. thank you so much! The venue itself was brilliant, the views are amazing with the crops, ponds and scenery, even the cows! A real rustic barn which was exactly what we wanted. The on-site accommodation was brilliant! We got married at the Ashes Barns the end of June 2019. The venue is absolutely beautiful we couldn’t ask for anything more - picture perfect! ! All staff we have met couldn’t do anything more to help during our planning process. Big shout out to Steph our events coordinator she was fantastic on the day, set up all our decorations beautifully, calmed my nerves before walking down the aisle and even helped bustle up my dress when my mum was panicked as she forgot how to do it! Where do we even start! What a stunning venue!! From the moment we found the venue online through to the completion of our day at The Ashes, we couldn't have been happier that we were able to have our wedding there. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue and the team at The Ashes have done a brilliant job of making it the best place in the world to have a wedding - no joke, we travelled from Melbourne, Australia to have our wedding there!The communication was amazing and we never felt alone in our planning. Emails were always responded to promptly and no question was too silly or too much. Everyone was friendly and there is so much valuable information on our personal booking website already on hand that it is a great resource to anyone getting married here. We loved that it was a No Corkage venue but also that the drinks packages were super reasonably priced and we ended up using that instead of bringing our own drinks. Our Event Manager, Jayne, was lovely and we are so grateful she was able to do our Planning Meeting over the phone instead of in-person due to not being in the same country. I have no doubt that the day ran perfectly because of her attention to detail. She was on hand from before I arrived with my bridesmaids and hairdresser at 10.30am and was still there when our guests were leaving after midnight!The site is beautifully maintained and the grounds were perfect for photos in every direction. One particularly big draw for us to the venue is that the ceremony barn can be converted to an indoor area during cold/rainy weather for the drinks reception. The Wedding Night accommodation was lovely and the bed so cosy - what a lovely place to sleep after the best night of our lives. Breakfast in the morning was yummy!I feel like I could go on and on as it really was the best day of our lives and I truly believe it was perfect because we had it at The Ashes.
