Lovely venue, food was amazing, staff great. The only thing I would criticise was the floor was dirty and would benefit in being treated in some way(? ) so that it could be cleaned more effectively! The team at the Arches were amazing!!!
We had our wedding here back in June and the team made our day so special and relaxed! !
From start to finish they were very communicative and very supportive of our requests!
Our day went so smoothly and was just perfect and we can't express how much this was down to them !
They gave us enormous amounts of advice and time to organise ourselves which was extremely helpful!
They made our day so relaxing and incredibly enjoyable!
Special thanks to Abi and Tabby for being there for us from start to finish, you were the best! Such a friendly team to be part of ! We celebrated our wedding here with 100 guests in August 2017 and throughout the planning process and the big day itself we couldn't have been more impressed with the venue and the team.

We made all the arrangements from abroad, with only a couple of short visits—one when we decided to book, and another just a week beforehand to work out last minute details. Not being nearby could have made the planning really difficult, but thanks to the team the organisation went smoothly and the big day itself was fantastic.

Abi was a real star and helped us out with suggestions and gentle reminders at every stage. She was responsive and reassuring and everything else that you need from a wedding planner/coordinator! Jamie was also super helpful, and on the day he really went the extra mile to make sure our guests were entertained. Both were always easy to reach and happy to help.

We'd highly recommend The Arches: the perfect combination of fantastic, unique venue, and a highly capable, attentive and efficient team. More...

Attended for the comedy night, which was great. The only let down was it was absolutely freezing. I asked 4 times for the heating to be turned up which still never happened. A shame as otherwise was a great night!! More...

One of the best New Years Eve celebrations I have ever had. The staff were welcoming, extremely efficient and courteous. This was my first visit to the Arches. A superb venue, the atmosphere was brilliant. Great music, and the Psychoslinkys were amazing. Everyone on our table commented on the excellent quality and quantity of the food. One very slight niggle was a door which let in the cold every time someone went out or came back in. Lovely lady, obviously to do with the running of the venue brought us a heater to combat the cold. The place was nicely decorated apart from the wall we were looking at by a fire door, which resulted in photos that could have been anywhere and not particularly Christmassy, but the food was lovely, the chicken was moist, the potatoes and veg were fine although far too many sprouts and nowhere near enough carrots, with only 1 slice per person, I alone could have eaten the entire quota for the table Trying to fish the few beans and cauliflower florets out of a mound of sprouts was not easy, but other than that, the only complaint I have is that for a table of 12, consisting of 2 parties of 6, there were only 3 of anything, which would have been better with 2 or 4 to save sharing with strangers. We assumed all 3 sharing platters for the starters were the same, but evidently 2 were meat and one, nearest to the other party was veggie! Whoops! Again 3 sharing platters for desert and 3 bowls of veg! I can see how much easier it is to manage with sharing platters, but we all wanted more of the sticky toffee pudding, no one was bothered for the cheesecake or brownies, so an option prior to the event would have been far better for us to give a normal sized portion instead of 1/2 a bite sized piece each! Just missed mince pie and coffee to finish! We had a very good night the band was good and we danced the night away, but weighing up the overall cost of the evening, including taxis, we're glad we went, but will go back to a more local hotel next year that did a very good meal, with a choice of starters and deserts plus coffee and mince pies slightly cheaper, still with a band and disco but much more convenient, only requiring taxis one way. I went with a party of girlfriends on Friday 16th December. From beginning to end the evening was brilliant - the staff were great, the food was lovely, the band were fab and the decorations were perfect, it looked like everyone else was having a great time too- I think this is fast becoming the no1 venue in Halifax. Will be booking for next year!

We attended a Christmas Party Night on Saturday and it was fabulous! The food was lovely, we all loved the sharing plates for starters & desserts, and the chicken main course with potatoes & vegetables was excellent. The service was very organised and highly professional. The music was great, a combination of a band, The Psycho Slinky's, and a DJ afterwards. All 8 of us had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend the Party Nights.... in fact we are going again on New Years Eve! Well done & Thank you Halifax Party Nights! � More...
