The advice she offered was in-depth, comprehensive, and really well tailored to our needs, whilst also being simple, understandable and effective. I contacted Valerie from The Animal Behaviour Business to help me with my dog, Sheba. She had started to destroy things in the house whilst I was out at work and the neighbours complained that she was barking and howling. Valerie's kindness, empathy and knowledge of dog behaviour and her commitment to helping Sheba and myself was second to none. The Animal Behaviour Business was very very approachable and easy to access via her website. Valerie was very prompt to reply to our enquiry and provided us with clear and concise guidance which was delivered with kindness and understanding. For our first appointment She was kind enough to come to our house one weekend which was enormously helpful and our follow up appointment was one evening, again this was really helpful. She wanted to spend time assessing us with our dog to understand the issues we were having. She spent time listening to my husband and I and observing us with our dog. We never felt at anytime we were subject to criticism, just helpful and informative explanations. She carefully explained the course of action we were to follow and subsequently sent some emails detailing her thoughts of our consultation. We felt she provided us with constant reassurance and she encouraged us to phone at anytime should we have further questions. Valerie, on her visits, encourages us massively and has heaps of patience with us. She communicates very well with our dog. and us. Her observations on our dog have been invaluable, also, on us, communicating with our dog. The written material she leaves us with is presented in sections, for example training for re-call etc, and we can refer to this easily and quickly.
