Q&As

My passion is to assist clients achieve their goals. Not just from a fitness perspective, but to provide a service that helps the client in becoming a better human being. I feel that happiness is acquired through multiple facets of life and NOT just what we see in the mirror physically.

Consistent commitment to a few basic principles will elicit what you want to attain. This goes for anything that you want to achieve, be it physical, mental, emotional, or financial.

Establishing a good working relationship between myself and my clients. The human aspect.

I was in the healthcare field (homecare) for 18 years and was tired of seeing people deal with sickness and debilitating ailments. I wanted to help people be proactive with their health and by combining my background in sports and fitness, I felt I could help them lead a life that was much more healthful and full of happiness. "The healthier we are, the happier we are."

Services

I work with individuals one-on-one as well as semi-private (2-3 people) to help them achieve their fitness, strength, mobility, balance, and nutrition goals.

There are few coaches that know how to coach people on the proper execution of the Olympic Lifts (Snatch and Clean & Jerk). Furthermore, I have vast knowledge of Barbell movements and have a great passion for teaching the nuances of this training discipline.

Through many years as an athlete and being fortunate to train with high level coaches, along with being a Certified Massage Therapist since 2005, I have developed a keen understanding of the body, especially as it relates to the musculoskeletal system. There are many techniques to assist a client/athlete to enhance the ability of the human body to do all that it does.

As a former Crossfit Gym owner (CrossFit Redding 2008-2013), I learned a great deal about coaching clients in the functional fitness model, so I feel highly qualified to help any clients become better at that type of training if that is their chosen path.
