The Accomodation Shop managed a property for me from 2005 until June 2018 when I eventually decided to sell it. As I lived in Asia they provided a full management service for me and throughout the period they have found me good, reliable tenants, ensured all issues are raised quickly and dealt with efficiently, keep extremely good records and have always been helpful in answering any queries that I have had. My daughter was moving to Dover, Kent England from Canada for teaching position. I Goggled apt/flats for rent in Dover and I found several apartments for rent under the Accommodation Shop. I called about one of the apts. and Rental Agent, John Rose took my call. The apt I inquired about was no longer available, but I explained to John what I was looking for and why etc. He said he'd keep and eye out for what we needed. I kept looking and one day John called and said he had a furnished flat we might be interested in and he sent pic etc. We began the international credit check and all went well, he said when we arrived in England he'd show us the apt. It was a national bank holiday weekend when we arrived. After a long flight and train to Dover on a Sunday, John Rose was at the Train Station in Dover to pick us up (bags and all) showed us the apt. Unfortunately, it wasn't suitable, but he immediately got some more and keys and began driving us around to look at more apts. All this on a Sunday of a long weekend while his family waited at a restaurant. Then owner Stephen Davies arranged for a taxi to take us to a B&B. Next day, Holiday Monday, same thing, came and picked us up to view more apts. John was so helpful with information on where to shop, eat, stay, visit. My daughter decided on an apt on the Tuesday, John picked us up again on the Wednesday, took us to buy furniture and delivery, arranged the electric, gas, everything that needed to be done. When we moved in on the Friday, we couldn't figure out how to work the electric shower, turn the fridge, freezer, stove and gas on, once again John was there to save the day! John Rose and the rest to the team at the Accommodation Shop we all so helpful and made an overwhelming experience so much more manageable. We are so thankful to The Accommodation Shop & John Rose, Steve Davies and Greg McKenzie and Alex for being so helpful in assisting us to secure an apartment. In speaking with several members of the staff over the course of this endeavor of moving to the UK, it appears to be quite a team of professionals! It's been great to have been working with John as our liaison agent in making this huge move for my daughter as smooth of a transition as possible! My daughter has been there a week and John called to check in on how she was managing and tomorrow is stopping over to hook up her TV! What a sweet, kind man who went way out of his way to help us. We directed him to 3 other teaches who were having a difficult time finding an apt and he helped them get into an apt within 2 days! John Rose and the Accommodation Shop team was fantastic!
