Black Women in Motion, an organization based in Toronto for Black women, femmes and non-binary folx, held a photoshoot here for a campaign. The owner, Daniel, was very helpful from the time we booked the studio to the day leading up to the shoot day. The space was smaller than expected as we were hoping it would be big enough to host 30 people since we purchased the social and event use package for 5 hours. We were still able to make it work and have a good time. I recommend the studio for photographers who want to do a shoot with a few models or host a small event. Fun fact: I've shot here twice. Once, about a year ago I shot here on a referral that this was a fair priced and quality space! The second time, was just recently. Here's a picture from after Daniel's latest renovation. I LOVE the new additions and the improved feng shui which Daniel added to the studio. It makes me want to create and I'm looking forward to shooting there again next time I come back to Toronto! As always, thanks to Daniel for the amazingly helpful videos on how to use the lights--I'm totally new to photography and I always forget, so having the videos is a great reminder each time I go!. This is a good studio. Prices can't be beat. Great space, natural light, and has a space for hair and makeup. The only things I have to say: the elevator in the building doesn't look reliable and has had a sign to steer people away from using it unless 100% necessary, to it is difficult to get all the equipment up to the second floor. The other thing is that the key to the studio is in a lockbox, but even with the key, you can't get in. The owner has to unlock it remotely from wherever they are. I've shot here twice and both times we've had to wait around 20 minutes just to get in. More...

We booked the studio to do some lifestyle photos for our brand and we found it to be exactly what we needed....good location, good price and very good accommodations. I love how much like a home it feels, yet it has all the equipment and amenities needed to shoot professionally. Studio space was fantastic! So many cool styles of backgrounds and lighting choices to choose from for shooting! With full natural light to moody and dark with everything in between. Studio is very neat and organized with everything you could need. AC and Bluetooth speakers was a big plus. Booked the fully loaded studio option, had everything we needed. The instructional videos are great and a must-watch so that you know what to do and where everything is - if you are a perfectionist and super organized you will love this space. The studio also has a great working station for hair and makeup with ample lighting, and lots of room for you to set up and shoot. 
Daniel, the owner, is super sweet! He’s very helpful and accomodating, and always available to answer questions or concerns.

After I was sadly let down by another Toronto Studio very last minute I contacted Daniel. He was super responsive and helpful and I got everything booked that day. I was in the studio a few days later. It was super clean and had all the features you’d expect from a high quality studio. The space is laid out well, including the kitchen area. We used all our own gear including lighting and coloured backdrops. But availed of the super cool features like the neon lights. There is huge widows for natural lighting as well! The only thing I regret is not having enough time to pre plan the shots using the quirky features including the swing! But I hope to go back and shoot one day again. I highly recommend this place! Out of all the studios I have ever rented, THAT Toronto Studio has become one of my favourite photography studios in the city to shoot in. My team and I fell in love with it because of its affordability, beginner-friendliness, intimate/comfortable set-up, and all its features (e.g., the TV/Bluetooth speakers, techno lights, beauty area, swing, signs, large windows for natural light and more). As someone who is continuously learning more about studio equipment, I have met studio owners who are not as friendly or helpful with setting up or recommending what lights to use. THAT Toronto Studio is excellent for all skill levels of photography (as long as you attentively watch the owner's fun tutorials on how to use everything). He's always a call or text away if you need something during your rental time. The owner, Daniel, is genuinely a great person to work with. My team and I are happy to have gotten to know him + build a relationship with him. His support for our work sincerely means a lot to us, and we highly recommend that everyone try renting the studio.
