Stuart took the first Thame Kidz Music Scholarship pupil and is teaching her to play drums. Not only does she love her lessons, but adores her tutor also. I am very grateful to Thame Institute of Music for all their involvement in this brand new venture to help youngsters who wouldn’t normally be able to be involved in music lessons without this scholarship. My son Mason (4) has just started piano lessons with David. My dad contacted Stuart and enquired about lessons, he was really welcoming & friendly and answered all his queries (and there was a lot! ). David put Mason at ease on his first lesson. Mason looks forward to his lessons and loves practicing with his Gramps (who was also made to feel welcome and included and invited to sit in the lesson with him). Both Mason and I had a trial drum lesson with Stuart, which was good fun too. Would highly recommend. More...

James get on really well with his mandolin tutor, Karl - who is both patient and motivating! TiM is a well organised and diverse music school for all ages.

I started piano lessons so I could learn with my daughter who had also just started. Angela is supportive and friendly. I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge, although on occasions I find myself banging my head on the piano in frustration!!!

It was January of 2015 when I decided that I wanted to learn to play a musical instrument and to be able to read music and for some reason I plumped for the guitar.
After searching on the internet, I came across T.I.M. I am so glad that I did, for a year later, I am still having my weekly lesson with Karl. Karl is a fantastic teacher and extremely patient. I honestly feel I wouldn't have come so far. I am chuffed to bits as I can now read music, something which I thought I would never be able to do. I have also discovered the type of guitar style that I prefer. Other than that, I like the way in which it is so easy to re-arrange my
lessons if I have to, you always reply promptly to my e-mails. I am so glad that I came across you.

I am 61 and have been having weekly piano lessons from TIM for a couple of years now. I started from lesson one and am now aiming for my grade 3 ABRSM exam next spring.
The tuition is very insightful, always positive and above all, great fun.
If I can do this, anyone can - thanks Matt.

My son learns mandolin at the Institute of Music and gets on really well with Karl the tutor, who is very patient and motivating. It's not easy to find mandolin tutors, so we are really happy! More...

I started piano lessons with Angela a fewonths ago and am thoroughly enjoying them. She challenges me and provides plenty of constructive criticism while being supportive. Most importantly we have a laugh while I struggle to get my fingers to do what I want them too. More...
