Over the past several months, Texas Home Movies has converted about 17,000 feet of 8 mm movies I inherited from my father. The movies were dated from the 1960's to late 1980's. It cost me some money, but it was worth every penny to see so many memories. Many of them were priceless. An additional benefit is the ability to share them with my family. I have been very pleased with the results. One thing they told me that was helpful to them was the excellent condition of the movies I had converted. It made it easier for them to convert them. They have also converted some VHS tapes to digital and they turned out excellent also. I have been very impressed with the individual who did the work. These guys are great!! They digitized 20 reels of 8 and super 8 home movies for me Some of the reels were over 50 years old and they re-spliced and preserved my reels. They put everything on a hard drive for me and made me a few DVDs. They even told me if wanted additional editing or DVDs they would do it for no additional charge. Even offered support if I wanted to edit them myself on iMovie. Best thing is that I didn't have to ship the reels. I dropped them off and picked them up locally.
