We needed a bedroom painted on a somewhat tight schedule.  Painters seem to be very busy in the summer, and several others I contacted had either been unresponsive or turned down the relatively small job.  In contrast, Tera responded promptly to my inquiry, fit us in quickly, and did fantastic work.  They were always responsive to communication, quoted a fair price, were happy to use a different kind of paint at our request, and were generally great to work with.  The specific painter who came for the job, Alberto, was also super polite and considerate.  I definitely plan to use them again for our next project. We chose Tera for our residential paint job; from our research and the estimate we determined they would provide quality workmanship, professionalism, personalization, and their ease with which to work and that this corresponded to a reasonable price for the project. On the job, they confirmed these traits and more. From start to finish, receiving the estimate to checking off the final punch list item, Alex and his crew were wonderful to work with. The paint job quality was superb, and the customer service was great. No project goes off without a hitch, but Alex's sense of "going above and beyond", "doing the right thing", and "making things right" without question, carried this project. His crew needed to access our neighbors yards to reach and paint our side house; the crew's professionalism and care of neighbors personal property was noted and much appreciated by our neighbors. Much time and attention to detail was taken in getting the paint/stain color just right. Our shingles were a challenge to strip and re-stain (they look beautiful); after which we experienced issues with our windows of which Alex addressed immediately offering solutions, including an offer to replace which was not ultimately needed. We found Alex and crew extremely open to feedback and willing to address anything of concern. Short info: Great communication and excellent results!Detailed info: Tera was very easy to work with. They came out to look at the house and gave us an official bid within a couple days. After we signed the contract, it was only a couple more days before they came out to prep the house. From to start finish of actually painting, it was less than a week, though it's worth noting that our house isn't very big.Before they officially finished, Michael and Alex came by to do a walk around with us. We pointed out a couple spots that needed touched up, and Alex found a couple things he thought could look better. We didn't have to convince them to get the crew out to fix anything, they just did it! To err is human, but it's how you handle mistakes what separates the good from the great. When researching options for a facelift on the exterior of my home I decided to have Matt from Tera Painting come out to give me a bid. Matt was professional, very responsive and was out the next day. I received a detailed quote within 24 hours. I had a couple of other painters give me bids but they didn't impress or make me feel completely confident that things would be done the way I wanted within my budget. Matt instilled confidence in me that they would do a fantastic job and work with me to get things done the way I envisioned them. From first contact to commencing the project took less than 10 days. This review is of Alex's customer service on the first phone call.  I'm a first-time homeowner who needed interior painting, but with a tighter budget and timeline than ideal.  Before coming out for a bid, Alex and I talked on the phone about the job (I had a good sense of the work required--measurements, materials, etc--and timeline).  Alex thought through the job with me before coming out, and he was able to ballpark his estimate based on my description (his range was similar to a prior quote I had from a competitor, and he told us to go with the competitor if the price was right because they would surely do a great job).  Because I was looking for ways to spend less, he happily referred me to two of Tera's subcontractors who went out on their own fairly recently and are still growing their business.  I very much appreciate that he helped meet our needs without even coming out for a bid. Tera Painting just finished our house and deck. The job started with a bit of a worry when they delayed the start. They won us over with their honesty about the delay and reliable updates as the plans developed. Matt and his team worked long hours to make up some of the time and sent us daily updates on status. Matt also worked with us to make sure we understood and agreed with minor details color and trim. We've used Tera Painting twice now - both experiences were fantastic.  Matt was our primary point of contact and he is great to work with.  Both jobs started on time and finished on time with exceptional results.  We threw them a few curve balls in the last job (horrible drywall issues) and they worked overtime to complete the job on time so we could get back into our house.  Most impressive is their commitment to getting the job done well - they spent hours touching things up, fixing small blemishes that I didn't notice and that most painters would have left alone.  We will be using Tera again for some stair work that we're doing and recommend them without hesitation. I am giving Alex and his crew five stars. They just completed a painting job at our condo which included all interior walls and ceilings. They also patched all holes and did extensive work in the master bedroom ceiling which involved drywall damage repair. They were honest and Punctual and finished the entire job a day earlier than promised!  TFrom the first phone call and following calls, all 3 guys (Max, Matt, and Alex), were not only professional, but overall just such nice guys.  With all the painters around, we knew we wanted to hire them and they just exceeded our expectations. Alex and Javier did an AMAZING job on our townhouse.  We bought a new construction that was poorly built (think uneven walls, terrible cheap paint that scuffed any time you touched it).  Alex's team went above and beyond the normal paint work to even out texture, add caulking to cracks, and even add a baseboard to a closet.  They took our beaten up handrails (which had screws seen clearly from the top, and cracks in the middle) and made them pristine, including sanding down the corners so that they would better hold up to wear and tear.  Alex also did a great job of addressing our concerns -- we've already gotten stains on the walls twice, and have been able to wipe them right off due to the quality of paint he used.Their level of detail and wealth of knowledge was unrivaled, compared to the 2 other painters we had do consultations.  I would highly recommend. I highly recommend Tera Painting! Overall we had a great experience from initial enagegement to payment. We hired Tera Painting to paint our baby's nursery. We were very specific on what we wanted in terms of design (striped wall, accent wall and two white walls) and the paint we wanted to use. They came in with the most competitive bid and did the work in the time they indicated during the bidding phase. I was impressed that Max came out the second day to help Alberto to measure out the stripes and get it sorted they way we requested. So impressed with Alex at Tera painting and his whole company!!! I put out a couple last minute paint requests through Yelp and Alex was the only one who responded right away and said he could try to work something out. He kept in touch, came and saw it the next morning, and gave me a bid. Sooo helpful. Then I used him and his guys on another project- and the paint turned out fabulous. What a fantastic experience. We hired Tera Painting to tackle our living room/dining room/kitchen and they did an outstanding job. We wanted to take a deep maroon all the way to a bright white and we couldn't be more pleased with the final result. Joe was a delight to work with throughout the estimation process. I requested a variety of line items in order to examine costs and he presented a detailed quote, exactly as I had asked. Alberto and his assistant were true gentleman, always making sure to update me on how the project was progressing and always arriving on time. They paid attention to detail, spending an exceptional time on prep and quickly tending to any areas we wanted touched up. They were always communicative about questions on site and addressed them immediately. We have a series of old original windows in the space and they provided beautiful solutions, bringing them back to life, while still allowing us to restore them down the road. This is the kind of thoughtful consideration that sets apart a good company from an outstanding one. Finally, Max and Alex (project manager and owner) were very tentative to our needs when we experienced some alligatoring in certain areas where we had applied the initial samples. They came to take a look in person and provided an excellent priming solution, following up to ensure the work was satisfactory after this issue was resolved, which it was. We recently began to paint the exterior of our house only to find that there were portions that we could not reach ourselves. We rented different ladders, tried to climb on the roof (which was way too steep!), but could not finish the job ourselves. We called around to over a dozen professional painting companies and Tera was one of two that responded with a possibility of getting the job done...this year!! Alex, the owner, called and emailed with us directly and asked for a few photos of the work that needed to be done. He came out to our house a few days later and painted our partially finished exterior and even touched up some spots that we had missed, all in the matter of an afternoon. Some of the spots were very sketchy, three stories up and on a severely pitched roof, not to mention the hoard of wasps that they had to kill before hand. But when all was said and done, from the time we emailed Tera inquiring about doing the job to the house being completely done was four days. FOUR DAYS! Our job was very small, but no other company would consider the work until 2015. Tera came and finished everything we needed in a professional manner for less than they quoted us and in under a week. The quality of their work is outstanding AND they are nice people too!They may not be the biggest company, but there is something to be said about being personable, professional, and highly skilled that will earn our business every time. I recently purchased a home with very dark brown and green walls and deep brown trim. I wanted to paint the interior ivory and turn the brown trim white before I moved in. Not an easy task. After collecting a few bids I hired Tera based on their professionalism and confidence that they could do the big job on a tight timeline. Alex the Owner of Tera Painting is absolutely phenomenal. I live in an HOA community and homeowners were tasked to paint the exterior trim of our home. Needless, to say I was gathering estimates which becomes extremely frustrating. I came in contact with Alex who came to the house and provided an estimate. He said he would pressure wash, scrape, caulk, prime, and paint. He immediately e-mailed me a professional estimate which outlined the scope of the job! Impressive. Believe or not, not all companies provide these types of estimates. I enjoyed his service and he presented himself as professional genuine. I hired him immediately to do the job and he was here for 3 days and made sure to do quality work. Oh wait, he even removed a bees nest that was extremely high up into the roof area of a 3-story townhome. (This was not in the scope of the painting project). The pricing to complete the painting project was under $1000. I would definitely recommend Alex to anyone and will hire him for all my painting projects! Alex, job well done! Alex came out and spent time educating us on the various levels of finish he could do, and the implications to our budget- He helped us figure out what we wanted from the paint job, and delivered that within the budget we discussed.
