What makes a great website?
A great website is defined by its ability to accurately represent the organization's brand while effectively converting visitors into clients, customers, or followers.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is the primary action you want visitors to take when they visit your website? Do you have a sales funnel? Are you tracking data? What other aspects of your digital presence are you working on (e.g. social media, traffic generation, email marketing, etc.)?
Describe your creative process.
My creative process is highly interactive with the organization stakeholders. I start with a questionnaire to better understand the client's needs. Then I engage in research and exploration to put together a proposed plan focused on achieving stated goals and providing guidance and suggestion where necessary. Once development begins, I interact with the client at various stages for feedback and discussion to ensure the project is on the right track. Once we are both happy with the result I polish and publish.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Target market, unique sales proposition, branding position, color preferences, digital assets, Business NAP (name, address, phone number), goals for the website.
What do you love most about your job?
Interacting with, and helping businesses and organizations leverage the web for growth and profit.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started TekCeptional Solutions to help businesses and organizations better understand how to develop a website that not only looks great and presents their brand positively, but also works to actually convert visitors and provide a high return on investment.
