Teapot of leaf tea but would have liked hot water too as it was a small pot. Scones large and warm but bit dry and too big for my liking. (Affects ratio of jam n cream to scone in mouth!!!). They did offer more jam n cream if wanted. Attentive service. Toilets up very steep stairs- tough for me. Great location on cathedral green with plenty of outside seating and parasols. More...
It was great
Scones here are really good, you can choose sitting indoor or outdoor, either way great atmosphere, lovely place with delightful staffs and eats.
Fantastic place to go for lunch and the service is really good.
Krásné okolí katedrály. Uvnitř je kavárna také moc hezká, stylová.Dobré cappuccino.Akcepterují platby kartou
Beautiful small quaint cafe with amaze coffee, would definitely recommend.
Friendly and lovely food To be recommende.
I really like the food here especially the beef stew with green bean and rice. It was really nice.
Food that is definitely a cut above the rest and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Food was good, sat outside overlooking Cathedral Green, however due to building works next door we were right by public walkway, ok if you like people watching!
Good veggie options, nice service. Really enjoyed having breakfast out on the cathedral green in the morning sunshine.
Great place food excellent & waiter so helpful
Nice "ye olde tea shoppe" ambiance, but victims of their own success so can be a bit slow on service, but nice sandwiches and cake.
Great food and friendly staff
Great service and traditional dishes.
A quaint spot to sit and eat outside with an excellent view of the cathedral green. We've been for a Roast dinner and for brunch, and we're very impressed, especially with the brunch. Large portions and very tasty. Good vegetarian options. Could do with some more vegan options, especially weekday lunchtimes. More...
Wonderful tea shop with very, very good scones
Nice place but supervisors could help with taking orders and seating customers as opposed to strutting around.
Great location. Wonderful food at reasonable prices.
Beautiful little tea house, lovely position overlooking the cathedral. Had the light lunch option, was more than enough to satisfy.
Great food and very friendly.
Great tea room, lovely interesting food and good cup of tea. All staff were wonderful, only thing I didn't like was manager/owner discussing his gripes with staff in doorway and ear shot of customers.
Always a great meal with an amazing view
Very nice place with superfriendly personal. Delicious tea and scones. And music I love
Took family here when they where down on holiday we all really enjoyed it! Food is fantastic on down side is it’s small inside but couldn’t fault the food and service
I had a very nice Welsh rabbit with ham pinapple

The best cream tea in the city! The scones and the jam are home-made and they serve a lot! I always come here if I want some tea and scones.
Being in a tourist position I half expected it to be not so good but what a pleasant surprise, food excellent and the service friendly and helpful, well done
Had a lovely cream tea in the tea on the green. Spotlessly clean very attentive staff.
Excellent service. Clean and cozy. Great sized breakfast with high quality produce.
Really friendly staff Lovely food - good portions but with extra available also. We had there roast - beautifully cooked meat, lovely potatoes and fluffy Yorkshire puddings.
Excellent service and food. Highly recommended for brunch-lunch. + vegan friendly options.
Had a beautiful meal here. I'd love to come back some day.
Excellent tea served at the table. No queuing to order your drink! Love it. Delicious food too.
Molto caratteristico, ottimo the
5 stars for location, 4 stars for service and 3 stars for food. Good menu options with plenty of eggs variations as well as fresh juice options. The poached eggs were a bit hit and miss as some where runny while others were hard. The location is extremely good, right in front of the Exeter Cathedral and the green. More...
Always a great experience, friendly staff, gluten free option, value for money.
I love this place and the food! Unfortunately the service quality is not consistent. Most of the time they are amazing and super friendly but sometimes very slow and not paying attention at all, therefore only 4 stars.
Beautiful place to have brunch, the eggs and muffin were delicious !The fruit smoithies are also definitely worth a try, and the view over the cathedral just makes it perfect !
Excellent food and excellent service, and it was a busy lunchtime.

Ice tea was delicious, Staff very friendly and very professional at what they do, Beautiful little gem of a cafe.
Lots of gluten free options, tasty food and very friendly service.
Very nice meal, good service. Enjoyed
A great place to come and enjoy a relaxing breakfast.Incredibly polite and courteous staff.
Definitely the best place for breakfast and afternoon tea in Exeter. The scones are to die for!
Nice place for breakfast good choice of dishes and plenty of seating area as there is a room also on first floor. Prices are good , staff and service good. Recommended for a quiet brunch.
Excellent service, good tea and teacake. Inexplicably, just before Easter - no Hot Cross Buns!!
Great food great service
Lovely staff and good choices of gulton free, daily free menu for my friends.
Lovely breakfasts and good selection of teas. Yummy.
This is one of my favourite. Try cream tea and you'll like it. But you have to decide youself to put jam or cream on top!!! ^-^
Lovely place with delicious food
The roast meal was nicely presented but what a let down that it came on a COLD plate. Not what I would have expected from this restaurant especially the price it cost. By the time I was a quarter way through the dinner it was barely warm. Beef had alot of fat on it which I am not to eat. The food tasted good but was spoilt by my above comments. Horseradish was great as was the ice cream.Staff were very polite and helpful although wine was late being given to me. Perhaps you could Think about table clothes to finish it off. Not sure if I would return. More...
My partner and I enjoyed a delicious scrambled egg on toast and Breakfast Hash along with a white hot chocolate and Raspberry smoothie. Food/drink quality was really nice and incredibly good value. However, not quite a 5 star because we felt the portion size of the Hash Breakfast was far too much and the gentlemen who served us perhaps could of been a little happier. We would recommend this place! More...
Nice ambience and great food. In particular the afternoon tea is outstanding, with a great assortment of teas complimented by scrumptious sandwiches and equally delightful scones.
House Blend Probably the best cup of tea in Exeter but cake at £4.25 a slice seems expensive on top
Excelente. Muy buen te, comida y servicio
Nice tea with amazing scone
Very homely and comfy. Great staff, personal and polite good food, try the Eggs Benedict!
Wonderful lunch ...... for a 60th birthday party for a special brother.
It feels different since we last visited, food good staff friendly but not overly - can't put my finger on it. Has it changed hands?
Ka Ming Fung
Nice scones. Two is more than enough even though I haven't had lunch. Good view. A bit pricy.
First visit here was for a birthday brunch - I always like to try something new for my birthday. Menu was promising, and didn't disappoint. I went for the Eggs Benedict on muffins - whilst the eggs were a little runnier than I would cook them, the combination they had put together was especially tasty. Spinach just lightly cooked, a good textured hollandaise sauce (and plenty of it) with (unusually) wholegrain mustard. All together delicious. Coffee (I had a flat white) was equally good. Recommended. More...
Friendly staff, nice tea & coffee, seating outside in the sun, with stunning view of the Cathedral. Great Sunday roasts
Nice and snug on a bleak winters day to sit gazing out of the window people watching whilst enjoying what this restuarant has to offer, a good menu and reasonable prices a bonus being the grand pile of the cathedral as a backdrop.
My 10 for the carrot cake! It's something worth to pay for. I've been twice for tea time.
Excellent food and drink very good waiters and friendly too
Excellent lunch with the family, ages 2 to 75. Had Italian style omelette (frittata) with a mixed salad that had a lot of ingredients, no boring lettuce
Pleasant teashop with good fish and chips.
Very good sandwiches and cake. Nice location, good service.
We had a lovely cream tea here, they made a lovely gluten free one for my partner, and got me blackberry jam as I am allergic to strawberry, so they are very accommodating, staff friendly and polite, made a lovely afternoon pitstop,
Simon TJ Webb
Excellent food and drinks
All way's good food. Excellent value. Staff lovely all ways helpful. All round good experience.
Very nice cup of tea. Cosy and friendly.
Great gluten freed fish an chips an very helpful staff
Lovely atmosphere, really attentive service.Excellent food exceptionally good value
Basterebbe solo la sua posizione: questo bar delizioso si trova infatti di fronte alla cattedrale di Exeter. Tutto il resto (bello e buono) passa un po' in secondo piano
An excellent restaurant on the Cathedral Close with quality food and friendly service.
So quirky, I love it! Vegan hash and peppermint tea with the no-spout transparent teapot, just gorgeous! Xx
Delicious food in a great setting.
Very nice location, staff and food.
Busy tea room Nice coffee
Nice selection. A bit expensive. It has seating outdoor and nice views of cathedral
Their roasted lamb on Sunday is a must try!
Great location, lovely Ulster breakfast and very friendly staff.
God te, lækker sandwich, lækre scones hyggeligt sted
i had the nut roast and it was very tasty. lovely food, good portions - i was given a HUGE amount of veg with my roast and it was all scrummy :)nice polite and friendly staff - seemed to really want to help and looked like they enjoyed working there. the whole place has a very chilled, happy atmosphere.amazing place to sit and eat outside - really nice view of the cathedralwould recommend to friends and will definatley be back - probably next sunday. Sunday lunch was lush
Trendy und Empfehlenswert
After being turned down by two other locations we phoned Tea on the Green to see if it was worth walking over. They managed to accomade us within 15 minutes of us calling. Friendly staff on arrival. Characterful building in pleasant location. We were seated upstairs looking over the green onto the cathedral itself. Ordered four Sunday lunches. Beef, lamb, and chicken all come highly recommended though the pork looked delicious too. Our waitress was helpful and had a great, welcoming personality. Two out of the four of us managed to squeeze in a desert. Both the sticky toffee pudding and Eton mess were divine topping of the Sunday Roasts. However cream teas ordered by neighbouring table caught my eye as looked fabulous would love to return for those! It's worth going out of your way a bit to try here. Ring ahead to check for availability as quaint place where customers are not rushed. Many thanks to all. More...

Lovely place the staff are friendly and it is clean
Delicious food and lovely staff, a regular stop for me and my friends when in Exeter
The French waiter was very nice and professional
Great breakfasts! Lovely view!
Excellent dining and tea rooms
Good, large, bit expensive English breakfast
Quality food, good service, nice views from the outdoor seating area.
The egg royale was worth a try !!
Always take visitors here, highly recommend the chamomile teas.
Really lovely breakfast in a great setting. If the weather is good you can sit outside with a view of the cathedral. The ulster fry is one of the best cooked breakfasts in Exeter.
Lovely food and service
Fantastic Sunday lunch & great service would roughly recommend
Always a lovely meal. Very aware of gluten free needs, plenty of choices.
Really lovely place with very tasty food and beverages! I had the vegetarian full English and a latter and finished it all! ! The only reason why I haven't given 5 stars is because I would have liked to have the option of choosing how I wanted my eggs to be cooked rather than just being given scrambled. Never the less it was a good!! Would definitely go again if I was in the area. More...
Helpful with our food intolerances. Fantastic food! Lovely friendly service. Good prices. Lovely view. Definitely recommend.
The best scones in Exeter, lovely place with really helpful staff.
Always a nice place for diner or afternoon tea. Clean, good service, nice selection
Atmospheric, nice scenery, good service . . until last week! I had eaten there before, but because I wasnt feeling well and just wanted a late afternoon solo coffee, the manager rudely refused to serve me. No more! At least his staff had manners and were pleased to see me each time I was there, and it was that that had tempted me away from another place in the first place!! . . After having read the other reviews below, it seems he is a very rude man. Sad . . The 4-star review was for my original first sentence of this review (over the last 5 months), but after last week . . it would be 2-star, if not 1-star now. . at a push!! If I'm good enough to do work for the Bishop of Exeter, I'd have thought I would be good enough for Tea on the Green, as it turns out . . not so. More...
Cheesecake is quite nice
Lovely brunch great virw
Highly recommend going for their Sunday Roast. The beef was superb.
Great place for cream teas and scones were delicious.
Maria Belen Peran Rodriguez de Vera
Great coffee and perfect location.
It’s always helpful when a restaurant has a menu where allergens are clearly marked. Here it was gluten, which helped me pick a salad. Thankfully it was also possible to add some of their free range chicken to the otherwise vegetarian salad. I think a few other options would also have been possible (I also eat lactose free). Staff was friendly and service quick for busy lunch hour. Nice location and atmosphere - especially if you get a window seat. More...
I had the best roast lamb roast ever it was gorgeous xx

What a fantastic breakfast and lunch spot! I was really impressed with this little place which seemed very quaint when I walked in, but actually the food was good and the service was fast and friendly. Really good food, a lot of choice on the menu. Get a seat overlooking the cathedral and you have great views as well. Nice level of service.
A pleasant little place and very busy, popular with the well heeled s-too-dense who as usual are a right royal pita.

Nice breakfast with an incredibly insightful waiter who read the mind of my mate and offered exactly what he wanted. Flexible menu was bang tidy. Place is nice and comfortable although when busy it can probably feel like your dining with other patrons. The place is nice, quaint and the staff are monumentally healthy. Side note, they have funky little tea pots that I've never seen before but pour from the bottom. Very novel.Loved the breakfast and there was too much to eat. This is a problem I'm happy to have. Well worth a visit and then a second! More...

Fab food and service. Highly recommended for snacks and meals. Family friendly but no good for wheelchair users.
The food is alright and the place is in a great location just opposite Exeter Cathedral. You might need to wait for sitting outside on a sunny day.
Lovely food and views but staff was a bit rushed to get you off the table for the next customer.
Beautiful weather when we went which added to the warm atmosphere. Lovely locator next the the cathedral. Plenty of options, lovely tea and scones. Definitely recommend!
