Review of TDBC Consulting by Jason PAris

Whilst at Nokia I worked closely with Tom on Nokia’s Customer Engagement programme. Tom and his team led the way across Europe with their innovative and strategic approach. Not only did they deliver significant commercial and customer results for the business, but their approach has proven to the foundation for many best practice customer engagement programmes for some of the world’s best brands. I’d be more than happy to recommend Tom.

TDBC Consulting Q&A

What makes a great website?

A great website is all about Customer Engagement, relevance and simplicity. The content should be relevant to your customer profile, it should be easy to navigate and require minimal clicks for customers to get to the sections they are most interested in.
Our approach to website design is the same as our approach to everything, keep it simple, be pragmatic, be relevant.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

What is the product, brand or service you want to promote?
Why do you want to promote it?
What is your budget?
When do you want the activity to go live?
What are your aspirations in terms of response/sales/return on investment?
Who do you think your target market is and evidence do you have to prove it?
In which media channels have you promoted you product, brand or service in previously and what were the results?
What is the USP of your product, brand or service?
What is the proposition of the product, brand or service?
What does the product, brand or service do?
Who are your main competitors?
What activity has worked in your eyes for your competitors?
What other activity will you be running at the same time if any?
What are your KPI's of success?

Describe your creative process.

Initial briefing process either in person or by conference call
Depending on complexity of brief - strategic planning to identify suitable media channels, product & competitor insights etc.

Internal creative work in progress assessment
Present initial concepts to client

Campaign goes live

What information do you need from a client before you can start work?

What's the budget?
Logo's, fonts and anything else brand specific (Brand guidelines if they exist)
What's the go live date?
Are there any absolute No No's?

What do you love most about your job?

I love solving problems and finding solutions for people through my extremely diverse and in depth experience of running accounts for some of the biggest and best known UK and Global brands and helping run large and small agencies.

What inspired you to start your own business?

So often now days there are so many procedures and processes that one has to follow within the realms of a large corporate agency, that it takes ages and costs the client a fortune to get the job done. A pragmatic approach in my experience usually delivers great results and costs clients less. Getting immersed in clients problems and finding solutions and opportunities that deliver positive change through great creative solutions is what I'm about.

Why should our clients choose you?

I believe in Partnerships with a common goal, delivering great results whilst having a laugh along the way. The fact that I remain friends with all my past clients says it all. Just ask and I can put you in touch with any of them and the will all say the same thing.
