I've been looking for a place like this in Kansas City every since I visited Brasil 15 years ago. The food is authentic and delicious. We've walked by this place so many times and every time we have always commented we wish we hadn't already eaten. So - what's better to do than sample every restaurant in the Market on a Saturday afternoon. ..!?!?.... Uh, nothing!We tried two options. First was the Risole - breaded fried dough filled with ham, provolone and mozzarella cheese. Delightful dish wish was not greasy as one would expect with it having ham in it. However, my favorite dish was the Coxinha - breaded fried dough with shredded chicken and cream cheese. Omg folks - this was delish. Baptize it with their pepper infused vinegar and you have a fantastic meal!! Wowza!Highly recommend. We will absolutely consider this place for our next catering or weekend hunger needs!!! They were at the Children's Campus today and it was very tasty. This was my first time having food from this truck and it didn't disappoint. The two young men on the truck were SUPER friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely have the chicken, black bean and rice bowl the next time they are here and that green sauce!!!! This place is great! We missed it a few time because it's at the end of city market. However, more than worth the trek.  Had the steak which was great with rice and beans. Disappointed. Small, bland portions at big prices. Loved the sauce and the flan was good. Otherwise, our first experience with Brazilian cuisine was pretty "meh."

I was at the Overland Park Fall Festival, and I was so happy to see Taste of Brazil's food truck there! I've been meaning to try their food for a long time, and I was not disappointed. I had the risole and coxinha combo, and I was blown away by how fresh and crispy they were. The risole was my favorite (ham and provolone) because the ham was well spiced and flavorful, but the chicken was delicious too. I also liked the green sauce- the freshness cut the heaviness of the fried food really well. My one minor complaint is that the coxinhas are so large that the chicken is cold in the middle, but their size make it worth the price (8.50 for 2). The service was ridiculously fast for a food truck, which was perfect for a hungry fall festival-goer. Can't wait to try their full menu at the actual restaurant soon. More...

Food was a solid three to four stars but the customer service is what brought them over the hump to make it 4 stars. The coxinha, cheese bread, and risole were fire for sure. The rest of the food was meh. The burger was pretty bland and the picania was just ok, I truthfully cook it better myself. But all in all, my wife (who is Brazilian) and I enjoyed it very much and we will definitely be going back. That atmosphere was fantastic as well. Overall, I would and will definitely be going back. Taste of Brazil catered my graduation party and it was the BEST decision I could have made. Literally everyone was talking about how good the food was. Definitely the highlight of my party and now I know who will be catering my wedding in a few years!! We ordered 1 pan of chicken (my personal favorite), 1/2 pan of sausage, 1/2 pan of beef, 1 pan of pinto beans, 1 pan of black beans, 2 pans of rice, 1 pan of salad and 70 cheese bread (the best bread you will ever eat) and 70 brigadeiros (a gooey, fudgy brownie-like truffle). It was the perfect amount for 50 guests, but I would actually recommend getting 1 or 1.5 pans of rice for 50 because we had 1 whole pan leftover. Marco and Molly are awesome, soo nice and helpful. The ordering process was super easy and they made sure we had everything we needed. As for the restaurant itself, if you haven't been, you are missing out. Go now!! The pricing is VERY reasonable and you'll probably come home with leftovers because the portions are generous. It's clean, it's a fun dining experience and of course the food will knock your socks off. I seriously can't say enough good things about this place and neither could my guests. we stumbled here by chance really.The area of this restaurant is located has plenty of street parking and plenty of other businesses too! this is mostly a sandwich shop. but they also have a couple of plates that your can order, however here there is no buffet at all.They also have the traditional salgadinhos! have one.COXINHA- the coxinha was pretty ok, not the best I ever had but it isa very god salgadinho as long as the place knows how to season the chicken and they here go it. They have traditional Brazilian spice sauces as well so try them on your food u will love it. I didn't get to eat many items here but I was pleased with the one item I ate, the staff and the atmosphere. Come and try More...
