Attended a South Elgin Economic Council seminar, and Tarragon catered our lunch. It was delicious! They were a *huge* step up from the usual boring sandwiches and chips. I especially loved the berry salad with goat cheese. Great job! More...

I've always heard rave reviews about Tarragon Catering and decided to use them myself and I've got to say they proved everyone right. I had an excellent experience with Tarragon Catering from the first meeting with Chef Doug and Jaimie up to the day of the event. Chef Doug, Jaimie and his staff were always super friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, flexible and professionally attired. They have a variety of delicious food options to choose from and for the top quality of food that you get the pricing is affordable. Also, the presentation of the food and spreads that he does is absolutely AMAZING. Everything that was served was out of this world DELICIOUS and everyone is still raving about it 2 weeks later. I feel like any event whether it is a wedding or a casual dinner party, Tarragon can do it, and do it well. Thanks again Tarragon, I will definitely be using your business again soon, keep up the good work!!! More...

Chef Doug is absolutely awesome!  We hired him to cater a brunch for 40 people.  He was so easy to work with and design a menu that worked great for our occasion. The food was so delicious.  The menu was creative, comforting and a sure crowd pleaser.  Every single dish was flavorful and made everyone go up for seconds!  I will be hiring him again for sure.Here's what he made!-Fluffy Crust less Baked Quiche's with Roasted Tomatoes, Machengo, Wilted Spinach and Black Pepper Bacon-Baked Strata with Prosciutto and Fontina finished with a Satiny Mornay Sauce and Smoked Paprika-Thick Cut Maple Glazed Black Pepper Bacon-Platter of Assorted Coffee Cakes prepared from scratch by the Coffeecake Connection with Artisanal Breads and Bagels with whipped Cream Cheese and accompanied by my own Homemade Butter and assorted Jams and Chutneys-Cheddar Sour Cream and Chive Hash-brown Gratin CasseroleIf you're having a party in the Chicagoland area, he's your guy.  Friendly, smart, creative and very talented. Tarragon Catering helped to make our son's first birthday party a huge success!  People are still raving about the AMAZING spread of food that Tarragon served to our guests.  The chef really worked with us when we had to move locations at the last minute.  The food was fresh, tasty, warm, and just simply delicious.  Everyone was going back for seconds, even the pickiest eaters.  The set up was also awesome.  It was so nice to relax and enjoy our son's special day.  A big thanks to Tarragon Catering!  I strongly recommend them for any event! I am one that doesnt spend time writing reviews about food or entertainment, but Chef Doug is a exception. I met him about a year ago in which I was planning a nice at home dinner with my wife, I put it off so often because my wife and I tend to eat at fine dining places in downtown Chicago and also when we travel. We tend to eat out a fine dining places in Chicago at least twice a month. We have gone to Charlie Trotters, Everest Room, Tru, Blackbird, Les Nomades, Moto, Alinea, Sprout and North Pond for example. Chef Doug is equal if not better than any of these fine dining places in Chicago, so much that ever since we do not go downtown to eat anymore. He has not repeated himself and continues to not repeat a meal. I am so shocked honestly. His professionalism and what I like to call he is a chemist of food because he puts things together that I would never consider eating and yet every bite from beginning to eat of each bite of each course is unique. Period. He will cater to people that have allergies, food rescrictions, etc. He tells stories about the courses and some of the ingredients when each course is presented. Oh and I did forget to mention presentation, each course if out of a fine dining magazine. Honestly. I can not speak higher of Chef Doug. My kids too love his courses. I have also used him with family that is very hard to please and he hit a grand slam with them. And they still continue to talk about his meal that they actually ended up using Chef Doug for their home dinner parties. The best. More...
