What makes a great website?
Local businesses need to stand out from their competitors. Your website should be fast, responsive (mobile friendly), and have clear calls to action such as contact forms and phone numbers. As well as looking great on all devices your site also needs to help your business. It should rank highly for the keywords that any will be using to find your services or product. What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We like to fully understand the problems you are currently facing before beginning a project with you. We may ask the following questions:

Who is your ideal customer?
How many customers do you need?

Do you have a website?
What do you need on your website? i.e. contact forms, landing pages, service pages.

We usually start with a free, no-obligation consultation with a potential new customer, either face to face (if you’re local to Southampton), via phone or Skype. Understanding your business and goals is important to us before working with you. If we're working on something creative for you such as a website we'll design a draft first, you'll have plenty of opportunity to feedback on our work before we progress with any development.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
This really depends on the type of work we are undertaking. However, we will consult with you first and explain our process in more detail.
If we are building and designing a new website for you we require a 50% payment up front (standard for the industry). This secures our time and will start the ball rolling on your project. For SEO we charge a monthly retainer which is due at the beginning of each month.

Having worked both agency and client side we've experienced all sides of the coin. However, starting your own business gives a great deal more flexibility. Yes, it's hard work but far more enjoyable working for yourself. We also enjoy meeting our clients face-to-face and building a long lasting relationship with them.
