In my opinion, this is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The variety and quality of menu items amazing. I have never had anything that wasn't excellent. Excellent Mexican dishes. They have authentic, original, and the standard foods you'd expect. Â Quality preparation and foods is what makes this place standout from the crowd. I had a strawberry and a pineapple margarita it was amazing my husband had a burrito he liked it and I had fajitas I like those as well very seasoned meat very good although they are a little busy and kind of crowded it was a nice experience

Looks rough from the outside and almost avoidable but the food is amazing. Â Huge plates and you can taste the fresh ingredients. Â Never had a bad meal there and the salsa bar is cool. Â I told the waiter it was my wife's birthday and after the meal they brought out a huge sombrero and put it on her head, gave her a dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday. Where to begin... this place was such a gem!It's not that easy to get to and the parking situation can be a little annoying, but everything was worth it! Husband and I visited around 5:30pm (Friday) and we were seated right away. Most of the tables were full by the time we were there with about  2-ish tables left and bar seats open.As soon as you're seated, you're given menus and a basket of warm chips. Yum!We ordered the queso dip, burrito and taco salad. Everything was very satisfying, flavorful, and tasty. I will say, aside from the chips, everything was on the saltier side. The taco salad was good, but a bit wet with and not enough lettuce. But aside from the minor things, everything was amazing.The service is excellent, the food comes out quickly, tastes good, and the place is clean. Just moved to Cheektowaga and looking for a place to take my son for dinner and came across this place. My expectations were that it would be your run of the mill Mexican joint. Well, let me tell you, this place was anything but your average Mexican joint. Entering the restaurant and seeing it was run by Mexicans relieved me. We were looking for authentic Mexican flavors. My son and I both ordered burritos. They were huge, and so very delicious. Sautéed onions, peppers, chicken, cheese...the flavors were remarkable. We were also served complimentary chips and salsa. They also offered Mexican Coca Cola...bubbly perfection. The atmosphere was very casual, dim lighting and what seemed to be a cozy family oriented crowd. Very good place to eat! The parking is a little tricky since the signs are small, but there seems to be enough.The restaurant itself is nice; like a hole in the wall, hidden treasure place. My coworker gave me this recommendation. I was looking for something between airport and Walden Avenue to meet my friend for lunch. I'm so glad I did. Looking at the menu, I immediately super excited because they have lengua (beef tongue) it is my favorite. They also have tripe another favorite. And they are not disappointing. So good! It's actually so good I went twice in ten days kinda good. I love the tacos and quesadillas. I normally not a corn tortilla fan but theirs is so good with the piled carnitas. They leave it "naked" so you can put what you want on it. The steak quesadilla and fried ice cream was so yummy. I went there with a friend and it was our first time there. What a GEM in buffalo! This place is truly amazing with their fresh ingredients, huge menu variety, awesome salsa bar and friendly staff! Oh and not to forget the freshly made tortilla chips and salsa that they give you as a starter! We ordered a variety of tacos to share and the best ones were definitely the Al Pastor and Nopal con Papas! The tortilla is so fresh and soft and the salsa bar has many types of salsa for you to choose from as well as unlimited onions and limes. They don't skimp on the taco fillings. We decided to switch it up and try the beef tongue tortas and the beef tongue was perfectly braised and juicy. Combined with guacamole and fresh veggies and fried bread, it was a perfect combo. Really outstanding food and service.My biggest complaint is this place is not closer to my house.I had a friend in town on business for just one night. She stayed out by the airport so we drove out to meet her and picked this place based on the reviews and location.We walked in tonight around 6:15pm (a Tuesday) and were shocked to find the place packed. On a Tuesday?No wonder it's packed. The food is great.My friend ordered the fajitas -- holy cow it was enough food for all three of us.My husband had a cheesse quesadilla. He said it was super good. Perfect amount of doneness....excellent blend of cheeses.I "just" had a side of rice and a side of black beans which I mixed together with the salsa that came with the chips. I really shouldn't have eaten all of it. There must have been enough for all three of us. I cleaned my plate.The prices are extremely reasonable and the food is just super. And the service. Excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to see there were vegan items on the menu. I've been looking for a good Mexican restaurant to replace a fav of mine that closed. People kept telling me to try Taqueria Los Mayas but I was skeptical because of the outside appearance of the place. I finally had a craving for flautas so I decided to try them for takeout. I was impressed by the prices-$8.95 for an order of chicken flautas is a great deal! I ordered out on a Tuesday evening and the place was packed! I could barely find parking. When I walked in the place was extremely busy seemed clean and bright from what I could tell waiting at the bar to pick up my takeout. When I got home to eat everything seemed fresh and portions were generous. I ordered chicken flautas and guacamole and paid around $14. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a pic but my flautas were delicious and came with a a large guacamole salad. I had plenty for leftovers the next day. I was very happy with my decision to try this place. I gave it 4 stars because I didn't get the full experience by not eating in. Will be back to try a sit down dinner soon! More...

I went back to this restaurant tonight and it was much better than the first time. The salsa is really good, the chips were good as well. I ordered the chicken sopes and a zucchini and corn taco. Both were very good. Honestly the sopes was less than $5 and was more than enough for my meal. The corn tortilla  was very good, maybe even homemade and the  vegetables were surprisingly flavorful.
