Nutritionists & Dietitians

I purchased from Ross his nutrition plan (£400), training plan (£100) and personal training sessions (£715) and made the mistake of paying him up-front.
After a few weeks of a very poor service I asked for a partial refund, to which he acknowledged that although my experience of his service was poor, he does not offer refunds.
I tried again to get value from Ross for another couple of weeks, but eventually gave up on the lost cause.

Some highlights of working with Ross:
+ He offers no refunds.
+ He is "dealing with around 30-40 calls a week plus PT", so it is close to impossible to communicate with him.
+ He schedules his PT sessions back to back in different locations, and so has to quickly hurry off near the end of the session - sometimes mid way through doing an exercise.
+ The training plan pdf I received was for the wrong goal and was also just a training plan template.
+ It took a month and chasing from my side for him to send me over the correct training plan.
+ The nutrition plan I was sent was very brief and can be read in less than 5 mins.
+ The nutrition plan had completely the wrong information in it and I was disappointed with the results.
+ Most of the calls which Ross arranged with me he wasn't available for. He would only notify me hours after missing them and a couple of times he would message me the next day to rearrange.
+ I diligently filled in my food intake in his app every day for several weeks before realising that Ross wasn't looking at it, I then stopped filling it in and Ross didn't notice.

I started training with Ross 6 months ago, 3 times a week. He is extremely knowledgeable, committed, and flexible. After 4 months of training, I challenged myself to lose the remaining baby weight I put on 4 years ago and was never able to get rid of through several diets and workouts. Ross drafted me a nutrition plan, and frequently made sure I followed it religiously. I lost 10 pounds in 2 months and my level of fitness improved tremendously. I do have to admit that the biggest reason behind this was/is that Ross constantly pushes me to do a lot more and a lot better than I think I can. He has his ways in keeping me going when I feel I am about to give up. Ross has been a really great PT for me. He took time to meet with me prior to our first session so that he could find out what my needs were and what results I was looking for. He tailors his sessions to the individual. I have also had training in a pair with my sister, and Ross ensured that we still had individual attention and adapted what we did to each of us. I chose Ross because from speaking to him I could see that his passion about personal training and from his own personal experience, you are aware of the huge positive impact that being happy with your self image can have on your life. His enthusiasm was immediately apparent and I felt confident that would benefit me.
I wanted to learn more about the relationship between food and exercise and I feel that this has been extremely beneficial, although I still have much more to learn and put into practice myself.I also wanted to move out of my comfort zone in terms of exercise as I was stuck in a rut and wanted to try something different, like strength training. After being introduced to it by you, I know this is something that will help me attain the results I want.

My goal is to lose 30kg in 1 year time. Ross provided me with excellent and simple diet plan, which simply works. Just in less than 5 weeks, I was able to lose 10kg and almost 9 cm in the waist.
Weekly communication and ability to ask questions is really useful. Each week Ross goes through my meal diary and gives me feedback on my food choices and suggestions on how I can improve. Also, the fact that Ross is expecting a weekly progress report is really motivating to stick to my diet plan

I highly recommend Tapered Fit for anyone who seeks training regularly and has a set of goals to achieve. Ross is a decent, professional and punctual trainer. I had training with Ross for almost 10 months now, and I got great results. He recommended a dietary regimen along with the type of exercises suitable for my health condition. His sessions are both challenging and fun to do. We worked on upper body as well as lower body exercises and moved from low impact to high intensity gradually. With our exercise programme, Ross know exactly how to encourage me, push me, entertain me, distract me. He helped me understand the importance of correct form – once you’ve got this right, it never leaves you. My programme was devised to allow me to progress to more and more developed exercises and I am amazed now at what I can lift, push or press! Ross was always positive and cheerful, and gave me confidence. He knows me, and when I couldn’t manage something, would provide a variation that allowed me to build up to the full exercise. And yes, I did see results, and so did my friends – within a year I had visibly more weight, gained definition was eating more healthy, feeling more energetic and looked better.
I have been working with Ross for almost a year now, and I couldn’t be happier with the results and experience. Ross is extremely encouraging and pushes me to achieve the goals we have set. Before using Ross I was already quite advanced in training and didn't really see the how using someone like himself could bring real value, I thought I would give it a go to see why everyone uses PT's these days. I would highly recommend Ross Dymek as a personal trainer. Generally I find it hard to commit to exercise programmes and to lose weight. Ross was extremely good at motivating me and making sure that I was staying on track to achieve my goals. He listened to what I wanted to get out of it and I felt that he put together a very personalised programme for myself. I lost more weight than I thought I would and my fitness level have increased Immensely. I have a much better outlook on fitness and I enjoy working out now.

Q&As

A healthy diet is extremely important to both physical and mental well being. By controlling the quantity and types of food you consume and when you consume it then effective weight loss and management can occur. The more effective the diet, the faster you will see a transformation in yourself. As well as the aesthetic side, there is also the reduced risk of diseases such as coronary heart disease and cancer. By leading a healthy lifestyle normal everyday activities can also become far easier to deal with and your emotional balance will tip much more positively helping you to put your energy into other important aspects of your life, rather than always focusing on your health or weight.

I help my clients achieve their goals by making EVERY plan individually tailored for them. Every person is different. Therefore everyone needs their own programs to be different as we all react differently to the training process. I design and help implement a training and dietary schedule that compliments each and every aspect of a persons physical and mental goals and pair that with their physical ability, time and financial capabilities to ensure that everyone can and will achieve lasting results.

As someone who has spent their life in the fitness industry, gained multiple qualifications and helped many many people from different backgrounds achieve phenomenal results, i would love to say that i know the secret to this question. Unfortunately it is not that simple. Everyone has their own vision of what they believe to be the perfect body. I'm sure that your version of what is perfect is very different to mine! To keep things as simple as possible though i would say that the secret lies within yourself. Without an intrinsic motivation to continue, never giving up, when you hit a speed bump, to not fall of the wagon but reset and continue - that is how dreams are made. Unfortunately for most of us, dreams are not given to us - they must be earned. I can tell you and teach everything you'll ever need to succeed in creating the best physical version of yourself. But ultimately the secret in attaining this goal lies within yourself.

I suppose what i love most about this industry is that i get to actually help people look AND feel better about themselves as well as the way the believe they are perceived by others. In many cases i have built lasting friendship and helped people quite literally turn their lives around just be teaching how to lead a healthier lifestyle and being there for them not just as coach but as time goes on as a friend as well. In my opinion there aren't many professions that will allow you to achieve this. By doing this I believe that i am truly earning myself a living and not just slogging through the day just to make money. I enjoy each and every day i work and get to meet and help some fantastic people along the way!

In short; business always works better when you are your own boss! All of my achievements i can call my own and i have no-one to answer to other than myself and my clients - the way it should be!

There are many other highly qualified and experienced coaches out there. I remember reading an article recently that stated there are over 25000 trainers in the UK alone! In such a fast growing industry it can be confusing choosing the right coach for you. There are so many fad diets, new 'inventors of the wheel' that to any person new to training can easily get swept up with the latest on-going hype. Unfortunately for these people, many of them don't understand that every person will react different to training and diet. I am not in the business of mass-program development, aimed solely ion the basis of larger profit margins. Without people like you, getting serious results, my job means relatively little. With me, every person is given the same amount of my time invested into them, in getting them results - and providing they listen to me, they will get results, EVERY SINGLE TIME.
