I went here today during a convention nearby. Despite being pretty busy the wait was only about 10 minutes. I had the shrimp orzo with parmesan and prosciutto and a little spinach. I was very glad they didn't ruin it with onions. It was very tasty. The prosciutto was the highlight as it had a good flavor. The day was nice enough a lot of people were out on the patio. The people running things were very nice (perhaps the owners?). I will definitely go here again. More...

A good lunch spot, especially for those looking for an alternative to the not so great food at the convention center. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable. It wasn't the quickest of places but the servers all seemed rather friendly. I had the turkey and pesto sandwich which was one of their specials today. It was pretty good though the bread wasn't great. More...

Table 6 has been catering our work events at Portland State University for the past year and half and we have only had the most delicious and thoughtful catered meals! Cindy and Damon work tirelessly to ensure our catering is always on time, incredibly fresh, and with an amazing table set up. Cindy is always open to changes or minor edits to dishes to meet any dietary restrictions. We have several picky eaters to please with catered lunches, and Table 6 exceeds all expectations. The catering prices are fair, especially for the amount of food, it's presentation, and the flatware/dishes that are always included. Our department broke ties with Elephant's Delicatessen due to several errors and forgotten lunches and decided to use Table 6 for our primary catering services. It was the best decision we could have made. Using Table 6's services, we feel valued and cared for in a way that Elephant's never could have attempted. Table 6 is the spot for consistent high-quality service and delicious homemade food! More...

Great spot! The whole place was gorgeous, I'm a big fan of plants and they're everywhere. Beautiful flowers and herbs growing on their patio as well. The food was also great! I had an oyster po boy and my girlfriend had a burger (I forget which burger honestly). The sandwich was amazing, and the dirty rice it came with had a very home cooked feel to it. I think that sandwich was a special so I don't know if it's always available. The burger was awesome too. It did have a lot of mayo, but my girlfriend loved it. Something to keep in mind if you're not a mayo fan. Will definitely return. More...

Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing, making it even more difficult. Ended up getting a Caesar salad. Waited a while, the guy had a hard time finding us where we sat (upstairs). The salad looked great and tasted great, excellent Caesar dressing. Don't know if they were out but I didn't get their house made croutons which I was bummed about. Reviewed on Yelp

I've been coming to Table 6 since they were a cart on the Metro plaza in the summer of 2014! It's no surprise they won out the competition for the coveted little corner cafe space on the plaza later that year, as they've got a knack for serving up a wonderful variety of food that's always fresh and has that "home-cooked" quality. Chef Cindy has been doing this for a long time, and is a real pro, and Damon keeps the front counter humming. They're always helpful with questions about the menu and ingredients, and just really nice people! Expect a 10-15 minute wait during the busy lunch hour, but it's well worth it, and you can read the New York Times while you wait!  (...also, be aware that during big conventions at the Oregon Convention Center, Table 6 can get overwhelmed -- best to just save it for another day if you happen to come when a small mob has also arrived..!)I pick up lunch at Table 6 three or four times a week, so it's hard for me to pick a favorite dish. So instead, I'll pick several! At the top of the list are Cindy's Sweedish meatballs, one of her rotating speciality items. Get 'em if you see that on the menu, as you'll also get a side of homemade mashed potatoes and lingonberry jam... mmm!  Any of the Mexican specials are a good pick, too -- especially the taco salad. The Greek and Mideast specials are terrific, too. From the daily menu, the Metro Bowl is a great staple of rice, avocado and other goodies, and the Turkey & Avacado sandwich is a good everyday bet, too. If you're looking for salads on the daily menu, go for the Chef Salad -- huge and tasty! And if you're a cookie fiend like me, get a couple of Cindy's fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies for dessert - I can't begin to add the calories I've added to my diet by having two of these little treats with every lunch for the past year, but you only live once... and they're worth it!  :-)One of the little secrets of the Metro cafe space is the little loft -- a bright and relaxing retreat in the Lloyd District. There are only a few tables in the loft section, so arrive by Noon if you're hoping for one. In summer, Cindy and Damon have several patio tables set up in the courtyard, surrounded by planters and shaded with umbrellas -- also a nice little escape from the rush of the district. If you are a business in the area, Table 6 also offers catering. We use them regularly at Metro, but I'm not sure if they have a limit on where they will cater -- ask them!Five stars for Table 6 - a nice little slice of keeps Portland wonderful for this native Portlander AND regular customer! What an amazing addition to the neighborhood! There are so few really great food places in the Lloyd district, and this one takes the cake for lunch. Wide variety on the menu, from daily specials (I had the meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy) as well as a nice selection of salads and sandwiches to choose from. My friend had the eggplant parmesan, and she said it was delicious. On a blustery day like today, it was nice to be able to add soup to our lunches for a reasonable price. Chef Cindy said everything is made fresh daily, and you can certainly tell. It is particularly nice to get a quick lunch that doesn't come on a paper plate with plastic forks. What an adorable little place! Came for lunch with a friend, had the eggplant parm...TO. DIE. FOR. Also had broccoli cheese soup, which is one of my favorites, but ALWAYS too salty when ordered out. It was NOT too salty! I could taste the broccoli, and the fresh chives and cheddar it was garnished with. I noticed that it seems to be a popular choice for the people who work in the office building it's connected to, and that they all took dishes and flatware with them (I assume they bring it back), and I thought what a great idea to cut down on waste! They also offered those customers tinfoil to put over their food since it was raining out, and I heard one staff member tell a lady to bring her tinfoil back with her dishes, and he'd make sure to recycle it.The staff was super friendly and knowledgable about the menu. In summary, this place just really gave me a great overall feeling. I will definitely be back! More...

Overall: Great restaurant and location (if you're here for the convention center, particularly). Just returned from a conference and it was fantastic! ). Wonderful food - all with flavor (whoda thunk it!?). Food: My wife LOVED her greek plate (I don't recall all that it had - spanakopita, olives (I think), hummus & carrots/celery, some meat - and maybe more!).As always, I walked in and wanted a little of this and that and all of the options. Settled on pulled pork (I'm a southern boy at heart). Very good, slightly dry - but very good. The owner (I believe), or chef perhaps, spent some time talking with us about where they get their food (not locals, so we just smiled and nodded. Really good amount of food,  particularly inexpensive and delicious (and healthy, too! Delicious, cheap, healthy, and mostly local - sounds like Portland to me!! Definitely would go back - and you should stop in, too! (Not far from the Convention Center Bus Line - couple of blocks over.)Notes: You should clear your tables at the end, there are stations around. Awesome place for some respite in the midst of metal and noises. There's even a back patio for people to utilize. You could use this place for a staff lunch/retreat (shorter, though) or a group outing for lunch (perhaps). Q&As

The Southwest Chicken Cobb Salad that we feature when the weather gets nice is crazy popular! With 80 thousand hits/views on google, it is fresh, colorful, nutritious and full of flavor. At the restaurant I offer it vegetarian and vegan also and it always sells out.

I listen. It’s such a simple thing and often overlooked in our busy lives. So often, clients know the feel they are going for, but get hung up on logistics . You paint the dream in broad strokes and let me worry about the minutiae.

Nourishing people with clean, fresh flavors and empty plates.

I finally know what it is to really love what I do. I mean really love it. Some weeks I work 80 hours in 6 days and on that day off I am off reading recipes, watching cooking shows or eating at restaurants with high ratings so I can watch and incorporate best practices and bring that experience back to Table 6 .

I am attentive and competent. I am a type A perfectionist with 35 years of wildly varied work experience. I listen to a client describing the event and and I try to capture the momentum. From simple fare for a casual gathering to a chef inspired, multi course dinner and wine paring for a crowd, my team and I create a memorable event.
