Alpha is amazing! I can not imagine anyone doing a better job than she did on my wedding day. She and her assistant did the make up/hair for myself, 3 bridesmaids, mother and mother in law- everyone looked and felt gorgeous! Prior to the wedding Alpha was super professional and always responded to e-mails in a timely and thorough manner. She came to my home for the hair trial which was not necessarily close. I felt really bad when the trial was over because it ended around rush hour. I can't imagine she had an easy commute home but she never complained and I never felt rushed. She took her time and made sure everything was done just right. Additionally, Alpha is literally the sweetest human being on earth. She is an absolute doll and so easy to talk to. All of these things put together with her expert skills really made me feel at ease and the most beautiful I've ever felt in my life on my wedding day. Working with Alpha from Sweet Fuss was a pretty awesome experience. Initially I thought that the price was a bit on the high side but after seeing her transform me on my wedding day made it all worth it. During my make-up trial, she had given me the look that I had wanted -- very natural face while still highlighting features like the eyes and the eyebrows, and a romantic updo for the hair. I wasn't used to having a lot of makeup since I don't typically wear much makeup and so I didn't know what to expect once I saw the results. I thought it was a good job, but up close something seemed kind of off to me and couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. I had expressed this to Alpha and so on my wedding day she made some adjustments and I fell in love with the look! I was so happy! During the wedding day she had brought a team of 2 other ladies with her to work on my bridesmaids. They all did a wonderful job as well, going off of magazine pictures that I had given them as far as what hairstyle I wanted my girls to have. It seemed like we were on a time crunch as well, but they were able to get everyone done in time, including myself. Alpha was also there to touch up during our photo shoot that followed. For my August 2013 wedding, I found Alpha through recommended vendor lists I received from wineries in Temecula, California. She’s super responsive and so full of energy that I fell in love with her (and her work) during my make-up trial run in November 2012. I liked her work so much that I also hired her to do my make up for my boudoir photo shoot (for my husband’s wedding gift). I cannot say enough about her skill, professionalism and personality. I have used Sweet Fuss 2 separate times and had a great experience in both. Alpha truly loves what she does and it shows in how she runs her business. When you are a stressed out bride, having someone who is detail oriented, organized and quick to respond is an added benefit on top of having wonderful makeup on the day of. Alpha worked with me on my budget and had plenty of suggestions and ideas on top of what I brought up. She arrived on the day early and was efficient and respectful of our timeline. She even mentioned to ME when she thought we were running behind on our hair schedule (I had hair done by another company). This review is definitely overdue and I am really sorry for that. Let me first start off by saying that Alpha is AMAZING!! !!!! Amazing is probably not even the right word to describe her. Alpha exceeded my expectations in every way imaginable. She is very personable, sweet, extremely talented in what she does (hair and makeup), flexible, caring, and I mean the list can go on and on. I chose the package that provided an in-home trial (she traveled to my house), full, day-of/on-site hair and makeup services, and touch-up services for before and after pictures. Alpha is a pleasure to work with! Her and two of her girls came down to Del Mar to do my wedding hair and makeup as well as all of my bridesmaids and mothers. They were extremely professional and efficient, and made us all look gorgeous! I recommend having airbrush makeup done, as it lasted ALL night, the only touchups I needed to do was my lipstick..which isn't surprising. Alpha had given me the name of the lipstick she was going to use, so I came prepared with the same shade. The pre wedding trials went great as well, Alpha will come to you with all of her supplies, and listen to your requests; she makes you look like an enhanced version of yourself. If you are looking for make up and hair services for your wedding or event, Sweet Fuss is the vendor to book. The owner, Alpha is so professional, talented and fun to work with. These are he qualities I was looking for when booking someone to do my hair and make up for my wedding. She also handled my engagement photos, trial and my wedding party for the big day. I had so many compliments on my make up.

She responded to e-mails and phone calls immediately and was very flexible and clear. She was on time, if not early to set up her station and had chair, lighting, styling tools, and the makeup options were endless, yay for fake lashes! I was at a wedding recently where we were moving around lamps, mirrors and chairs to accommodate he make up artist, Alpha has all that ready to go and would never ask the bridal party to lift a finger!

I loved my hair and make up. I showed her some pictures of what I had wanted and she was able to interpret what I described. The outcome was exactly what I envisioned. It's not always easy to articulate what is in your head but she was very understanding and was more than willing to make adjustments and modifications without it being an issue. My make up and hair lasted until the end of the night.

I truly appreciate her services for me and my wedding party. She was so sweet, and when you have someone in your face for 2 hours its nice to have someone friendly and easygoing. She was good with the moms who were a little bit hesitant about hair and make up and great with my maid of honor who was a little more particular about what she wanted.

You can not go wrong with Sweet Fuss for your hair and make up. I am a soon to be bride and really did not know where to start with finding someone to do my make up and hair for my wedding. I did tons of online research, talked to friends in the cosmetic industry and finally came across the Sweet Fuss site. ( i may have first seen her on Yelp but I can't remember for sure). Anyway, after contacting her to ask about rates and availability she got back to me immediately. This is something I appreciate. I just had my hair and make up done for my engagement photos. I am so confident that I made the perfect choice for the "big day". She showed up a few minutes early and spoke with me about what look I was going for - looking at my pinterest photos. She then set up here chair and lighting and supplies and quickly got to work on my hair and make up. Alpha is extremely professional while still being warm and friendly. I really did feel like she was a long time friend! I had the works, 40's glam hair with airbrushed make up and lashes. I felt beautiful by the time she was done. She let me borrow a red lip pencil for the photo shoot since I am not typically a Red Lip kind of girl. I had my makeup done by Alpha for my engagement photo shoot and she did an amazing job. I was a makeup artist for a few years and wear makeup every single day, so I am super picky and have never had someone do my makeup better than I can do it, but Alpha succeeded. She showed up on time (even a few minutes early!), was super cute and personable. As she was applying my eye makeup, I was getting nervous that she was putting on too much. I begged her to let me see it, but she said no, I had to wait (she's really funny). After she was done, I was amazed that she made me look so good, and the makeup was not heavy looking at all. I highly recommend airbrush makeup (it looks flawless in natural light). The only thing I would have done differently (and this is just my personal preference, not at all Alpha's fault) was I would have used more natural false eyelashes. Sweet Fuss worked with me each step of the way to make sure I was prepared for everything: the trial session; proper skin and hair care so that I'd look my best before the wedding day; and the actual wedding day. She sent me tips and was very responsive to my emails. I also was planning my wedding from out-of-state and kept changing the wedding day schedule and how many people I wanted her to do make-up and hair for, but she adapted quickly and seemingly effortlessly (that's an amazing ability - the last thing you want is for a vendor to make you feel bad for what you want). She is also great about getting you to reveal what you really want so that you're truly happy with the result on your wedding day.

Alpha at Sweet Fuss is one of those vendors that at the first meeting, makes you feel as though you're with an old friend. I was so calm and happy on my wedding day while she did my hair and make-up; I knew I could trust her completely, and I've got a very critical mother who doesn't like me to wear much make-up, but she raved when she saw my hair and make-up. It's also amazing when you see your reflection and you've never seen your face look that way before, but it still looks like you and you love it. I also should point out that one of the reasons why I picked Alpha at Sweet Fuss is that she's good at doing make-up on any race, and possibly the best I've seen at doing make-up on Asian faces (me and all of my bridal party that she worked on were Korean and Chinese, with varying skin tones and colors).
