Second time here, and I love stopping by whenever I'm in the area. The staff is super friendly and patient (I'm one of those people who has to step to the side to figure out what I want to order. ) The cashier gave recommendations on a side dish, and I loved everything I got! Now on to the food.. I went with a side salad (baby arugula, coleslaw, corn salsa, and topped with charred tomato dressing, quite fresh and delightful), chicken meatballs (these could have been a bit more moist and the sauce was a bit sweet, but I still really enjoyed them), and the tomato and carrot soup. The soup came with two slices of toasted bread, and the combo was so comforting and delicious, I'd have that and the salad for lunch every day. My husband got the chai tea, and I had a sip... soooooo yum! Obsessed with the flavor and should have gotten one myself. We will definitely be back to try more. Very tasty, fresh, and fast, and a good value. Limited menu but everything is very good. Tried the brisket on a corn cake and as a sandwich, plus the side salad, carrot soup, and mac and cheese. Good kids menu too. We liked all of it. Also very friendly staff and solid service (especially for a counter service place). Had the "Organic Baby Kale Salad", with beef brisket and house BBQ sauce. It was amazing! The salsa with added a nice touch to the flavor. The slaw was more vinegar based than mayo. The brisket was flavorful and very tender. The mac and cheese really tasted homemade...not that stuff you get at other restaurants. I would highly recommend the restaurant for anyone looking for healthy, unique, homemade and flavorful food. Even the homemade drinks did not have sugar added. One of the greatest places I've ever eaten! The service was outstanding! The second we entered, we were greeted by a fabulous young lady that took us through the menu (it's a walk up ordering process, not where a server comes to your table) and how it all works. Shortly thereafter, the food arrived. Hot and fresh and tasty!!!! The Brunswick stew is to die for! And I could eat their pulled pork for eternity. Tons of cool drinks and sweets, as well. For just under $18 I got unlimited access to the variety of delicious Boylan cane syrup sodas (and a diet cola), a serving of pulled pork over a corn pancake with barbecue sauce, some slaw, and corn salsa overtop, a large coconut carrot cookie, and a piece of carrot cake. The pulled pork was just decent. Leanish and kinda dry but the corn salsa et al made up for that and added sweetness. The underlying corn cake was simply a pancake with corn in it as well. The carrot cake was decent. Not dry but not particularly dense. Frosting was thick and sweet cream cheese flavor as expected. The cookie was not cracker dry but certainly on the less than moist end of the spectrum and tasted like an oatmeal cookie with some carrot shreds. Overall a unique meal but nothing super gourmet. It's not health food... so don't get swayed by the name on the sign like I had done for a while. I've added Sweet Carrot to my list of C-bus places to bring out-of-towners to dine. It's not the average BBQ. It's sort of next level, or as I think of/describe it, BBQ-Fusion, and the anti-food truck. Everyone that I've brought here has enjoyed it.
