Buffalo, New York
This is a great fitness studio right on Swan Street in downtown Buffalo. (It's just past Black Button Distilling, which I love.) There isn't a separate parking lot but you can park in front of the building, on the street, or further down the road, just past Michigan, on the street. I took a Ratchet Step n Sweat class with Amanda P at 5:15pm last night and Spinsta Famous class with Cristy at 6:00pm last night. I haven't taken the step class before. It was tough but great. It incorporated many different types of moves. The ab ones were the toughest for me. The spin class with Cristy was really tough but fun. I've taken spin there before but not with her. She's very encouraging. On Wednesday May 29, I took an Ain't Plié-in No Games class with MJ. It's a barre class. She's the owner. It was tough and challenging. On Saturday April 20 at 8:00am I took a Scared HIIT-less class with Amanda P. She's my favorite teacher there. She's so enthusiastic and makes me want to try harder and come back for more classes. On Sunday March 31, I took an Ain't Plié-in No Games (barre) class with Amanda B at 9:30am. It was tough but fun. On the same day at 10:30am, I took a Spin-sta Famous class with her. The spin class was great. On Saturday March 2 I took an Ain't Plié-in No Games (barre) class with Amanda P. On Tuesday February 26, I took a Spin-sta Famous (spin) class with Anna F. On Friday February 22, I took a steel mace and kettlebell class with Judy. It was part of their grand reopening. That class was free. They had champagne, fruit trays, veggie trays, and other healthy foods for their attendees.I was able to look up my past classes on the MINDBODY app. That's how you book your classes. It's prepay only. They offer packages, if you want to but more than one or two classes. It ends up saving you money in the long run.The gym looks really cool. They have a nice fitness studio and an upper area where you can workout too. They have a lounge area with a couch with fun pillow on it, water, and a tv. Just past that area is the hallway where the locker room is just to the right. It has a separate male and female bathroom, lockers, and I think a shower too. Straight ahead, just to the left of the locker room, is where their massage therapist works. To the left of that door is a water fountain and a door where people who live in the apartments between Black Button Distilling and Sweat 716 work out. When my busy schedule allow it, I'll definitely be back for more classes. Each class is tough but fun and interesting. Each instructor is quite motivating and brings a lot of zest to each class. More...
This studio offers different work out classes....and it's not for the faint hearted. I did the 30 minute HIIt 716 class with the owner MJ...that kicked my butt. The class had 3sets of 3 work outs and we did 1 minute planks in between. Totally recommend! I wish it was closer to home or I'd go more often. More...
THE best fitness studio in Buffalo! The owner, MJ, remembers everyone's names which is very impressive and she makes sure that everyone is comfortable in their own skin. MJ offers low intensity barre classes and well as adrenaline rushing classes, such as HIIT 716 and Ratchet Step & Sweat. I highly recommend her Step and Sweat class to easily burn off 300-400 calories in 30 minutes! If you want something a little easier and want to tone your body, I recommend taking BARRE 716 or SWEAT RX with Amanda P. ALL staff have been so accommodating! Forgot your hair tie? They have some. Forgot your water? They have some. Forgot your mat? They have plenty!! More...

I’ve been to MJs classes before she had her own studio. And while she’s always been amazing she’s definitely hit a new stride in her own space. Excited to come back :)
This girl has been with me every step of the way since the beginning of my journey. She is very personable, motivating, knowledgeable and encouraging. As long as you follow the program she gives you then I promise that you will be successful! She’s a tough trainer that has her own style and the biggest, brightest personality. I am so proud of the way her career is blossoming. I recommend anyone looking for a personal trainer or fitness classes who is ready to work hard and see results all while having a great time to signup with M.J. More...

Moved to Buffalo for the summer and wanted to continue taking pole lessons. In NYC there were so many studios everywhere but in buffalo only a handful, and reading most of the reviews and looking at the prices I was not impressed. A few days after my search, I came across Sweat716. Absolutely love it! While it is small, it is individualized which is great if you want to learn specific things. I've met people of all levels. My first class was with Barbara and she was amazing then I have taken classes with Anna and Jaclynn. All great teachers, each with a different style and different focuses which helps develop everything you could think of. Single drop in classes are $10 which is so cheap compared to what was used to in NYC. There are 6 poles and classes that I've been to usually have 3-5 students so there hasnt been any problem. Also the fellow studio go-ers are extremely nice! After 3 classes I started to see the regulars and its great. More...
Sweat 716 is a small place to go for fitness classes in Downtown Buffalo. They offer a few kinds of classes, including pole dancing (you can't miss the six poles in the room!). They're located right by the theaters.I went with a group of friends so we were able to book a private class. If this is something you're able to do, I totally recommend it!Our instructor was fantastic! Our group has a lot of fun working out together and we already plan on going back. They have an app so if you're looking for class schedules, that's where you'll want to look. You can either book ahead of time or drop in. More...
