It seems to me that some of these negative reviews are from the same person or a fake person trying to sabotage Steve because honestly he helped me soo much. I had a unaltered Tibetan mastiff that another trainer told me he had aggression problems and couldn’t help me work with him unless I got him neutered. I didn’t want to neuter him so young because I know it can cause a lot of health issues so I reached out for help and Steve was there. My boy was over 100 pounds and was able to adjust to Steve so quickly it was a miracle. He had bit three people prior to meeting Steve so I was nervous. Steve taught me how to handle my boy and be more confident in training my boy. I am able to walk him outside (with a muzzle only because people try to touch him without permission if I don’t have the muzzle on) without him reacting to anything around us. The only way your dog can be trained is if you really listen to Steve and his instructions and be consistent. The moment you’re not consistent, your dog will try to take over the household. More...

Steve is an amazing dog trainer the only way this place could be bad is if the owner doesn’t listen

I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier from the shelter. She was very scared and needed to learn how to listen. Being my first dog, I needed to learn how to train her too. Steve and Kelly really know their stuff. Firm, fair, fun. I left her with them for ten days and how have a dog who listens. More...

Steve has been training my AKC dobermans for over a year. Male doberman had chewing and destructive behaviors before he started training. Female doberman was going potty all over the place. After the first in-kennel training they started going potty on a schedule in their 4 by 4 litter box. Additionally, they listen to hand commands such as sit, stay and down. One of my dobbies is certified and I am able to take him anywhere with me. Steve Welch has taken my calls at any time and assisted with helpful info and tips during ear cropping, parvovirus treatment for the female dobbie, and general maintenance for the puppies.I cannot thank Steve enough for his help. I am able to carry on with my every day activities without worrying about my doggies acting recklessly. Review may vary from one individual to other but I guess the services worked for me and my dogs. Pet owners have to compromise to take the training as well. More...

I boarded my never been trained, NEVER, 9 year old and lived with an opinion that you can't teach old dog new tricks! false, i was wrong and I am so glad about this. Steve boarded Yoko, changed and made him affable all in 2-3 weeks but please don't make the mistake that the job is done. Dog's learnt the right way, do I know the right way, do I speak the language which conveys that? And that is a journey - So glad that I additionally signed up for group classes after Yoko came back after about 2-3 weeks and I am glad I am doing this....I know I am making mistakes and he's unlearning his training so fast, It's good to get the grip in time and catch my mistakes early -Steve Welch is beyond recommendation, he's the guy! But besides just the correctional training you choose, please don't forget the after training classes of that group training! It's really where you catch up in case of going wrong! Just go to this guy and nowhere else and be prepared to get some tough lessons - ITS FOR OUR BEST! More...

I've had the pleasure of having Steve train our little mixed breed puppy Baxter at a very young age. Steve delivered back to me a very obedient and well trained pet and friend. He's been there for us and I would recommend him to anyone! Also when he tells you to watch the video....watch the video! More...

Steve and his team are absolutely fabulous, so very friendly and down to earth!!! We left our 4 year Old English Bulldog , Boris , with him for a 14 - 21 day boot camp to help with aggression and obedience. While Boris was learning at boot camp, Steve had my husband and I learning as well though one of his beginner training DVD. After practicing with the DVD and several calls with Steve (he was always available for questions whenever they came up), our whole perspective on pet ownership and responsibility shifted for the betterment of our entire family! Every family member has a role and a job, Boris included!!! Boris was ready to come home at 14 days because he responded so well to the training. When we arrived to get him, my husband and I did a nice hour long training session with Steve and two of his wonderful trainers. We feel very confident with the skills and tools SW K9 has given us to continue Boris’ success! It’s also extremely nice that they call and check up on him/us even after the job is finished. Our relationship with Steve and his trainers will definitely continue beyond this one job! More...
