Suzanne and her team were absolutely incredible in their flower design services and execution on the day of our wedding. Suzanne was responsive, flexible, and enthusiastic throughout the entire process. She was truly a pleasure to work with. Her team showed up early to the venue on our wedding day to make sure everything was perfectly set up, and even though temperatures that day reached over 100 degrees, the flowers held up beautifully. Suzanne was such a pleasure to work with, she went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was the dream wedding we had envisioned. She listened and kept notes, getting all the flowers perfect, my dream was a romantic, vintage feel, like being in Italy in a beautiful garden and she nailed it. My bouquet was breathtaking, it popped in all the photos and lasted for several days after the wedding. Words cannot express what incredible work Suzanne does! She truly went above and beyond to make our wedding absolutely gorgeous. We received so many compliments on the floral design and decor for both our ceremony and reception - everything was so exquisite it could definitely be featured in a bridal magazine!

I thought so highly of Suzanne from the start - of course all her previous work was so impressive, but her professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail was absolutely wonderful. She had inquired about our theme, which was vintage glam, and with all the samples and photos we provided her - she developed the most beautiful design possible that truly hit every idea we dreamt of! I was originally worried that our limited budget would curtail our initial vision, but she truly maximized our budget and even added elements that made it appear more impressive and glamorous than we imagined! I had dreamed of a vintage teardrop bouquet and she crafted the most beautiful bouquet a bride could want, adding sweet sparkly flourishes throughout. And all the other bridesmaids bouquets, groomsmen boutonnieres, etc were gorgeous and carried the theme throughout. And one element that really put things over the top was the chuppah that she had built for another wedding but reappropriated for ours, since she knew it fit our theme perfectly. She went out of her way to work it into our budget since she knew it would enhance the look for our special day. It was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined!

Our wedding day went so smoothly thanks in large part to her and her team's amazing organization and efforts. She is not only the designer, but is very hands on - staying most of the day to make sure everything goes to plan - not something that most florists do! She's honest with you about what will look great and what could look tacky, as well as what will and will not fit within your budget. Even with the tight budget we gave her and my bright color scheme/polka dot theme, she managed to deliver the most stunning floral design I've seen in a wedding yet. I had so many quirky/fun/DIY wedding pieces, and she managed to tie them all together with her designs. It was absolutely beautiful!

I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments we received from guests about the flowers. Suzanne was amazing. She was very inviting and spent a few hours with us going over design details. She incorporated items and decorations that we had purchased into her design. She was always available for phone calls and emails. We actually had to change venues and she had no problem coming up with a new design to fit our new venue. The day of the wedding she and her staff helped set up our decorations and everything was just beautiful. Everyone loved the flowers and I got tones of complements. I got married on April 26,2014. Suzanne made my wedding more beautiful than I could imagine with all the beautiful flowers. I live in Northern Virginia. I grew up in Laguna Beach, CA.
I had to plan for Two Dates: Aug 23rd, 2003, and Dec 27, 2003.
Accepting the challenge that I didn't organize things well, I set out to plan my weddings:
- A Year and a half ahead of time
- Figured out who was going to fund my wedding and how much my Budget was going to be
- Figured out all the big ticket items and Flowers were in the Top of 5
I found Suzanne's website, LOVED her presentation, her creativity and how easy it was to contact her. Our first phone call was an hour and a half! She 'LISTENS,' and brings her passion of flowers and wedding design to you, for your Big Dream Day.

My wedding theme was an Island Day of Color on the beach infront of the Surf & Sand Resort. Suzanne created these awesome MayPoles of flowers with streamers blowing in the wind. Rose Petals streamed the sand as we walked to the alter at the water's edge. Bridesmaids had Big Stargazer Lilies, and I asked for some special vases for my siblings as gifts. The center pieces were Islands in wide vases filled with water and scuba divers inside them mixed with beautiful glass like that of the Caribbean. LOVED my bouquet of Roses and Lilies and custom Leis from Hawaii for my husband and I, and a big basket of Leis for all the guests. Every guest received a Lei and a Parasol. The room was filled with my husband's underwater photos for Table Numbers, and the room was lit up with color from all the details Suzanne created. Cake was covered with fresh Stargazer Lilies, too, amidst a waterfall built by a guest. Suzanne suggested a bakery, and it was totally Spot On! LOVED my wedding, it will always be a special day in my heart. She made sure every detail was perfect, down to making sure I had the Parasol that would match my Midnight Blue, Mauve, and Turquoise Wedding Dress, too. We were recently married in Temecula and hired Suzanne as our florist. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful Suzanne is so I will just start from the beginning. We had a budget which barely met Suzanne's starting price. I have to admit that was a little off-putting but we made an appointment to meet Suzanne and Chris and I left knowing that she was the one we wanted. She is great with ideas and she guided us through everything so we could really visualize what the wedding decor would look like. We could only afford the florist's choice but I can honestly say that I had complete trust in Suzanne and that is saying a lot coming from a control freak. Suzanne is extremely busy but if I needed to see her or drop something off, or even run some ideas by her, she always made time. We went through a very thorough walk-through of the venue and she and her staff really came through on the day of.

At my first appointment with her, she sat with me and let me talk and talk and talk. Then- she started doing these sketches as I spoke and pulled out cards with photos of flowers in them. Then I kept talking and showing pictures and then she pulled out catalogs of glass designs, decor and other items. Lastly, I told her my budget. Now it was her turn to talk. And boy did she impress me! She is more than knowledgable about flowers, designs, other designers, and what is trending currently. She sat with me for over two hours and we even made a rough draft estimate. Then she added a ton of things I hadn't thought of- hanging chandeliers, curtains, aisle decor, etc. When I walked out of there I knew that if I went with her- she would get the job done.
Months and months of planning later and so many emails later- she made my vision come true! Her designs, her own ideas and of course mine came to life and were so beautiful! She gave me exactly what I wanted!
I must mention the professionalism of her and her staff. There was so many of them but they were so quiet, so respectful, and so quick! People running in and out and you would never guess! My bridal bouquet was gorgeous and my aisle decor was breath taking! Our reception tables glistened and gleamed! It was so beautiful. Best part- she took care of everything. 24 hours before my wedding I needed an additional corsage and without any hesitation- she said she would do it. She also did the floral decor on I'm cake and I was blown away! She is a one stop shop.

I can't believe there are so few reviews about Suzanne. I mean she is AMAZING! Not only is she a great and talented floral designer, she is also an amazing person overall. I had a few meetings with her regarding my wedding, and each meeting would last almost 2hrs because I had so much fun chatting with her! She has so many stories and ideas about flowers and designs, you can just tell how talented and passionate she is about what she does. Suzanne did flower arrangements for my wedding ceremony as well as my bouquets and reception centerpieces. I wanted most of my flowers to be red roses, which I had no idea were so pricey! But Suzanne was able to get what I wanted at a price I was comfortable with (it did go over a couple hundred dollars, but the flowers were def worth it). Everyone in our wedding party looked so beautiful holding or wearing her designs and our centerpieces were being fought over by the end of the night. It's almost been a week since my wedding and I'm still looking at a bunch of lovely flower arrangements in my house and on my desk at work. From the first meeting with Suzanne I knew we were in good hands and that she'd do everything possible to make sure we got the look and feel that we wanted AND that the flowers would be top quality. Flowers are very important to me, I love them, and I wanted them to be a main part of the event, not just a decoration. I wanted our flowers to really reflect our personalities, and set the tone and feel we wanted for our wedding. Suzanne helped to bring my ideas to life and ensured that everything was of top quality. Her attention to detail and her added touches as a designer really took everything to a different level. As I have time to go back and look at people's pictures, I'm just so happy with the flowers and all the arrangements.

My bouquet was so pretty, I absolutely loved it. It was just as we discussed, but even better. And BIG! And the boy's boutonnieres were just perfect.

Suzanne is great at responding to emails and always kept me updated with the status of things coming together and sent pictures along the way. She takes care of the set-up and even waited through the ceremony and moved flowers from the ceremony to the reception area. She even left boxes for us to pack everything up into after the wedding. After the wedding Suzanne emailed me pictures of all the flower arrangements, which, was soooo appreciated because on the day of the wedding there is too much going on to be able to notice every little details. I really don't know where to start when it comes to Suzanne and all she is...not only as a florist but as a person as well! Suzanne can take a clump of mud and make it unique and amazing and beautiful..she is THAT talented. After meeting with several different florists in the months before my wedding, I was convinced I was not going to find the perfect one. If you're a bride-to-be, you know how agonizing it is to meet with people who just don't seem to know what they're doing. The florists I met with were either too expensive, lacked vision and creativity, or weren't on time! I was almost at my wit's end when I came across Suzanne Smith Designs on wedding wire. Suzanne is best ever! She was my favorite wedding vendor. She is very talented in creating one of a kind customized floral decorations. She helped me create the organic eco vegetable and fruit floral decorations for my winery wedding that I've always wanted. The wedding day day was so beautiful, it was magical, she transformed ordinary things into extraordinary elegance and class. She is very detail oriented and puts an artistic and special touch to everything she does. She puts in 100% effort in making every item look immaculate. She is not only talented and professional but very warm and so very pleasant to work with. I don't mean just nice and polite but really genuine and helpful like a selfless mother. Suzanne is wonderful. All the flowers and preservatives she uses are organic and eco-friendly and she's been doing that long before it was the "trendy" thing to do so she not only really knows what she's doing, there's no ridiculous up-charging for it. Suzanne will become like part of your family; she is warm and friendly and really tries her hardest to make your flowers and decorations extra super special. Another reviewer said something like "forget the details, leave them up to Suzanne"; she took the words out of my mouth. Suzanne went above and beyond with designing the decorations for our venue and really making it warm and special by adding extra touches everywhere you looked. She designed the flowers artistically and beautifully and just the way I wanted them and also helped me with using a collection of mason jars and apothecary bottles I owned to decorate the space that looked absolutely charming and beautiful. Seriously, for decoration all you need is Suzanne. She is incredibly knowledgeable (she writes for a couple flower publications including ubloom.com) and accomodating and I really couldn't be happier with having her work with me to design my wedding.
