Great and fast service. Mind me it was a Monday night and there was less than 10 people when I came in. I had the Pork Belly Ramen and it was delicious! ! Sweet and salty with chilli on the side as requested. The server surprised me with a free appetizer (fried sushi) it was good but a bit on the cold side. I have been eating at Sushi Nami for ten years now and I have never ever had a bad experience. I know in terms of Sushi Restaurants in Halifax they are seen as a chain and not as authentic as places like TAKO. However the quality is top notch, at this point I've eaten almost the entire menu and nothing has ever been sub par. The service is always fantastic and they go above and beyond for their customers. Going as far to make personal recommendations based on your tastes, offering to customize orders or substitutions for you with a smile and genuine conversation when they come to check on you in the middle of the meal and not just the "How's everything tasting so far?" Another thing about this restaurant specifically I love is it has something for everyone, the verity and selection on their menu is unrivaled. Not everyone loves sushi and sometimes you have to drag someone with you to lunch that isn't as stoked to eat sushi as you but they agree to go anyway. The options for bento boxes, ramen, soy sheets instead of nori and rice bowls really make this a great place to introduce that picky eater in your life to Japanese food. Also the atmosphere is great the newer Queen street location is beautiful and really tries to capture the Izakaya style in a weirdly maritime way. Went recently for my brothers birthday! It's a lovely laid back but classy environment. Service was great - friendly, quick. I had the edamame to start. I found they wete medicore; not quite as salty and a little on the smaller side. For my rolls I had the spicy scallop and mini kamikaze rolls. They were very good! Definitely a new favorite sushi spot in St. John's. Quick and friendly service on a Wednesday evening. Rolls are generously sized, reasonably priced and have great quality fish. After some experimenting at various sushi restaurants in the city I've found it to be better worth your $$ to buy several nice rolls and appetizers rather than paying for unlimited sushi at a lower quality location (unlimited sushi often turns out to be more money than just buying what you wanted). TL;DR: Awesome food & service, decent prices, enjoyable space, wheelchair accessible!____________________Service was really friendly, quick, and accommodating to requests. Never once had to get our servers' attention for more water or anything as she checked and gave refills regularly.Restaurant is very clean and has nice decor. Pleasant vibe all around. Sushi was fresh and REALLY good. Prices are reasonable for the experience.Also, despite being down a flight of stairs, the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, with a little wheelchair elevator and ramp to the left of the doors.
