My areas of expertise are eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, relationship counseling (Gottman trained - Gottman.com) substance abuse, adjustment disorders, and stress management. Being a specialist in eating disorders allows me the extensive experience to serve clients with most mental illnesses, such as mood and anxiety disorders, relational and abuse (sexual, physical, emotional ) issues and many more challenges that are often underlying the manifested eating disordered diagnosis.

What do you love most about your job?
My work is my passion and for that I am quite fortunate. This profession is what I was gifted to do. It is my life's calling and the best part of it is watching my clients/patients make changes that allow them to live life with newfound tools to manage the obstacles have been standing in their way of a peaceful existence. Watching them transform in front of my eyes is probably the most delightful and intrinsically rewarding aspect of my work.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I decided to start a business of my own because I determined it was best so I could work more dillignetly for my patients. I wasn't interested in being held back by the politics of large corporations that interfere with quality patient care. Private practice is more challenging and far more rewarding as I am able to customize my approach to each of my patients' individual needs.
Why should our clients choose you?
I take the time to listen, understand and genuinely care. I treat each client as a unique individual; by using other assessment tools, I also customize each client's treatment to their specific needs, lifestyle and circumstances rather than a textbook outline; my clients know I am authentic and empathetic; and I provide a safe, comfortable, homey, non-judgmental environment for them.
My work stands out from all the rest because of my innate ability to understand others at a much deeper level. I am unlike the traditional therapist who simply sits and listens without the offer of feedback. I take a proactive approach to healing and recovery and respectfully confront & guide my clients toward growth and a fulfilling lifestyle.
I am proud to say that I am a Level 3 Gottman Method Couples Therapy trained psychologist. The Gottman Institute is the only program in the world who has compiled 40 years of research in the field of marriage and relationship counseling. I have been fortunate enough to train under the Gottmans and obtain the skills and tools for my clients to thrive in their relationships. When working with couples, they have the option of using the Gottman Relationship Checkup which will provide them with a 60-70 page analysis of their specific problem areas where, in turn, I am able to produce a treatment plan to meet the couples' specific needs.
