What do you love most about your job?
I love working with clients and couples who are in the midst of a life crisis, an enormous emotional struggle, who have experienced a traumatizing event in their lives or are grieving a loss. I have helped people access their own internal strength so they can start to feel solid ground under their feet again. Sometimes it is a process of changing something or coming to terms with a part of life that has been avoided or stuck in denial. Other times it is process of understanding more deeply and get more clarification in order to make a decision. Still others are working on re-building trust after being devastated by betrayal. These life situations can feel impossible without help. I am confident in the skills that I offer people who ask for help. The experience of escorting someone through a difficult time in life, being present during a time when someone might feel hopeless and guiding them to feeling better and more confident in their own ability to move through tough times, this experience gives my life's work meaning.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I offer uniquely designed therapeutic models. My approach to therapy has always been outside the box and strongly research-based. I work with the top researchers and developers from Harvard and other institutions to keep my practice current and relevant for my clients. This is the reason why I opened my own private practice offering inspired therapeutic designs to address patterns of thinking and beliefs that no longer work and offering change on a deeper level.
Why should our clients choose you?
People reach out for help from a therapist or counselor for many different reasons but one major similarity is that they want to feel better. I believe clients can expect to feel significantly better within our first session. Change takes time but you must feel hopeful from the start in order to continue. I expect this for my clients.
