Surf City Dogs

Simone McKenna has completely changed my and my dog's life for the better. My partner and I have a high anxiety, reactive dog who has a hard time warming up to people. Simone has gone above and beyond to help him become comfortable with her at his own pace. Before Simone our dog would not walk with anyone else besides us. Now he not only trusts Simone but also is much more at ease around other people. Before Simone we hadn't traveled without our dog in 6 years. Now we can leave for trips and know that our dog will be taken care of, walked, and be fine at home with Simone by his side. Simone is kind, patient, creative, positive and welcoming. I really appreciate that she regularly attends positive reinforcement and force free training seminars and classes because it shows a level of commitment to learning and growth. Simone has completely changed our lives for the better. As the parent of a shy and anxious dog we are so grateful for all of the care, love and patience Simone gives him each week. She invites him to learn at his own pace and doesn't rush him to go beyond his comfort levels. He has steadily grown more and more confident and happy. Since working with Simone he has become comfortable with eye contact, walking without me or his dad, and spending time alone without us as well...all things that were nearly unimaginable for me before meeting Simone. I am very pleased with Simona and Surf City dogs. I have signed up for walk and train so that my dog gets exercise for both his body and his brain. Simona is reinforcing all the behaviors that I have let slide. My guy sits again now when I stop walking and he is learning fun new tricks.
