Adam and Eric came out today to clean my duct system. My house is over 100 years old and I was concerned as the last time I had them done was 11 years ago. They walked me through everything that they did, took pictures before and after every vent was done. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. With one notable exception, all the staff at Red River Furnace & Duct Cleaning were fantastic and very helpful with scheduling. Our dryer vent is located 2 1/2 storeys above the ground, so a special tall ladder had to be rented. The guys who came were courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. They did a great job cleaning the vent from both outside the house and in the laundry room. They left the laundry room exactly as they found it. We are very pleased. Today Amelio and Ron power vacuumed our ducts. They were very polite and respectful throughout the entire process and patient. Ron walked me and my husband through the reason why our charges increased by 250$ which we approved. we don't know what we don't know and we knew nothing about our whole system to discover we have 2 main ducts and 4 sealed joist ducts and also an extra main duct so a total of 7 ducts. This came as quite a shock cause no one from the past cleanings ever told us this. Amelio got us through this and their cleanup was well done. My only suggestion is going forward when you are calling people to get them to sign on for this work you explain to the the main cost and be sure to be very pointed about the fact this could cost dollars more if they have extra ducts and vents. One does have the option to stick with what is covered in the main quote and have you people come back another time to do the rest. It should be explained that this is s possibility depending on the system in the house and then it won't be such a shock. Again thank you More...

Amazing job!! Had ducts and carpets cleaned, and furnace serviced 2 1/2 weeks ago. Adam and Ron were very professional, thorough and efficient. . Adam was such a pleasure to deal with as he explained and demonstrated everything before and after, which no one in the past had done so thoroughly. We have had ducts and carpets done every 2 years and furnace annually, for the past 34 years, hiring over 10 different companies with very good to very poor results. This is the first time I can actually say the results were excellent! Adam even found 2 major ducts that had never been cleaned and was able to show me the pictures to prove it. The air flow in our 4 level home has improved 100%; the dust level has decreased remarkably and I feel as though I am breathing clean fresh air for the first time. Red River Furnace sent two technicians to my house to investigate why my exhaust motor was producing excessive noise. They quickly identified that the housing had water in it which required it to be drained. They found that one component was plugged restricting the water from draining out the tube and into the floor drain. The component was quickly removed, unplugged, cleaned, and replaced. I would not recommend you use them unless you want to be stalked for years after. I have asked them at least 7 times in the past 5 years to stop calling me, yet they continue to do so and don’t even have the courtesy to use their own phone number, always from a blocked number. Every time I tell them to stop calling and am told “We will mark that in your file”. Yet I continue to get calls. Absolute crooks. If I could give them a zero review, I would. I had them out for a maintenance on a window AC unit, and to inspect a second that wasn't working. When they arrived, I showed the technician both units and asked if he neeed me to take the one in the window out, which he said no, he could do it himself. I told him that the one downstairs wasn't working and I thought it might be the fan. I had to leave for work but had a friend stay while they did the work. I asked him to call if there were any issues. My friend called me and said that the unit that was not working was not repairable (which he determined simply by turning the unit on). When I got home and saw the bill, I was very upset. The technician had wrote that he needed to take the working unit out of the window in order to properly perform a maintenance on it, which he needed permission to do, and would cost 800$, not the 150$ we were quoted. When I called to clarify what had been done, I was told that I had been told it is not recommended to have a non-functioning machine inspected as it normally costs less to replace the unit than to repair it. That simply was not true. If I had been told that, I would not have had them look at it. I was told they needed to speak with the technician to clarify what had been done and when they got back to me the next day they had to leave a message, but did not return my call when I called back. I had to follow up with them again the following week. They told me the technician had not seen the unit when I asked if he needed me to take it out of the window... but we had been standing right next to it. They have refused to refund any of my money as they claim they did what they were hired to do, which simply isn't true. Neither one of the units had maintenance performed on them and they wanted to charge me another 650$ to come back out and perform the original maintenace! I can't believe they are BBB certified.
