Sunken Realm continues to amaze us as they create the visual effects and motion graphics like magic. Making video look like old film footage or creating all the Hi-tech ironman effects being inserted into our videos. .. Insanely cool! Trust me you can't find another company so dedicated to creating content and making your products come alive! We definitely recommend Sunken Realm and Leo as our go to MG and VFX company! More...

Q&As

A great website is one that is NOT cluttered with information but is rather well designed to flow easily when reading the information. The "Less is More" approach always wins. When a website is easy to navigate and find information, people are more likely to stick around and contact you as opposed to getting frustrated and just closing their browser or switching to another similar website. It's always about 'User Interface/User Experience' UI/UX.

I always ask what they're envisioning? What ideas they have? More often than not a client will have references of something they like so I always ask for that. It always helps to have imagery to help relay what the vision is. From there I'll share my ideas on how to make their design unique while still keeping elements from their original reference/ideas.

My creative process, after discussing with the client what their vision is, is gathering references. You always need references in order to make something look correct. Even the best artists out there use references. Once I have references in place, I'll begin creating multiple rough designs to play with ideas because what you have in your head and what you see on paper don't always match up. But when they do, you know you're on the right track!

Aside from contact information and reference imagery I'll always ask for a freelance contract to be signed so that both parties are protected - better safe than sorry - and both know what they're getting out of the project. No surprises!

I love creating and bringing to life ideas - either from myself or my clients. Bringing a vision to life is always exhilarating for both the client and myself. When that design ends up being used to create a physical object - I'm always inspired to keep on creating. Just recently, a client took a sticker design I created for them and created these cool 3D key chains and was courteous enough to give me one. It may not sound like much but when you've put in the work to create something from scratch and then you have a piece of it forever it's just... I can't even find the right word. It's awesome!

My Father has been self-employed for over 30 years and still does it part time. Seeing him be his own boss and a small business - and still be able to feed his family and have a home - it's very inspiring. So, I set off to do the same. I love what I do. I love how I do it. I'll probably continue to do until I'm an old man. Art never dies.

Everything I do is communicated. There's no smoke in the mirror. If I promise you something, it'll get done. If it's something I CAN'T do, I'll communicate that to you so that I'm not wasting your time and money. There are instances where I'm learning something for the first time but I know I can accomplish the goal and I'll relay that to my client. I don't charge for the learning portion obviously but when I'm ready to start working and creating I'll start to log hours. I hate being swindled or hustled and there's a lot of that going around. I've learned from my Father that being an honest business person will get you further in life because a client is more likely to spread the love and give word of mouth references in the future - that's the best reward I could ever ask for - references.
