- Processing accounting data on various programs including, Excel, Sage One, WaveApps and Xero Online Accounting Software, up to and including year-end journals
- Interpreting financial information and preparation of all necessary working papers, documents and files for year-end procedures and financial statements
- Compilation of Financial Statements via management program DraftWorx, as well as manually via Excel
- All client liaisons regarding monthly capturing
- VAT calculation and submission on SARS E-filing
- Processing payroll information via SageOne Payroll & Excel
- Payroll taxes (PAYE, SDL, UIF) monthly submission on SARS E-filing
- Excise Duty monthly submission on SARS E-filing
- Bi-Annual employee reconciliation calculation via E@syfile & submission via E-filing
- Bi-Annual provisional tax calculation & submission for both individuals & companies
- Annual company & personal tax return calculation & submission via E-filing & at a SARS branch
- CIPC company registrations, company changes and Annual Return submissions
- UIF registrations, changes & submissions
- Workmen's Compensation registrations, changes & submissions

What do you love most about your job?
I love numbers and people, this line of work gives me access to both on a daily basis. I love accounting & tax, because they are based in structured, set rules.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked for various accounting & bookkeeping firms and always found that the communication between the accountant and the client was lacking, and that the client did not always understand what the accountant was doing. This always seemed to be an issue for the clients. I decided to start my own practice with the intent of creating transparent, honest and open relationships with my clients, which leaves them at greater peace regarding their company's (and personal) tax and accounting requirements.
