We had the privilege of Studio 900 doing our photography and video for our wedding. John, James and Callum all arrived at our venue dressed smart and excited, ready for the day.
They all helped the day run smoothly and interacted well with ourselves and all of our guests. They made us laugh throughout the day making us feel special and we can not recommend them enough! They listened to exactly what we wanted as well as getting amazing natural photographs of us and all of our guests.
John went above and beyond and even stepped in unexpectedly to drive me and my Dad to our venue when we were let down by the venue. We were blown away by the photographs and video they produced for us! They are all amazing!! We were so impressed by how quick they were sent to us after the wedding too! John was very helpful when we initially booked he made us feel at ease. But once our wedding got cancelled due to COVID-19 all of that was lost. Despite it being a global pandemic he wanted us to pay the full price of his service because we had ‘cancelled’ he threatened to take us to small claims court. The situation could have been handled in an understanding and compassionate way as we all know that this affected everyone and business which was something we all didn’t anticipate to happen. More...

John photogrpahed our wedding earlier this year (2018). Couldn’t have asked for more. The end product was excellent - the photographs capturing exactly what we were after. He was able to get the best out of everyone, especially when it came to organising large groups of people (who’d had a drink). John worked seamlessly with the event and catering staff to ensure the photography was done without impacting the day.John is enthusiastic and able to put people at ease making for best possible photos. He enjoys a joke and a laugh which contributed to our overall enjoyment of the day.The wedding ran beyond our expected times but he stayed an hour over at the end to ensure he captured the start of the evening with the first dance and a bit extra following that. We booked John to photograph our wedding on 19/9/2015.From our very first meeting we knew it could only be John, we liked the fact that there was no hard sell and he was someone we could rely on. His passion for his art shone through.During the day he worked really hard and Jess, although they were there all day and into the evening capturing lots of happy moments, he was subtle and discreet' never in anyone's way.Our faith and trust in him was well founded as we have just received a disc of the photographs, well over 500 pictures, quite simply they are fantastic, each picture totally natural and tell a story,which is just what we wanted and what he promised.John has a passion for his art and that passion shines through loud and clear. What do you love most about your job?
I am a people's person, having been a nurse in the Royal Air Force for 16 years. Now, 23 years into my photography career the same rule applies. I understand people and get the best out of them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I retired as a nurse and wanted to be in charge of my own destiny. I had a boss and I didn't want one, well, until I got married !!! I wanted to make the decision and found the autonomy suited me.
Success and the need to survive in business has driven me to become better with every shoot I do.
Why should our clients choose you?
23 years in business means I must be doing something right.
I consider myself an expert in my field and have photographed over 1000 weddings. It's fair to say by choosing me your wedding day would be in the safe hands of a seasoned professional.

Thankfully, after a tough time for everybody, this is no longer as difficult as it was. The choice to wear masks etc is now at the discretion of the individual
