We've been using Stu for our family photos for over 20 years, largely because he's such a great guy, and takes the time to get to know you so he can help you achieve the end result you want. The studio itself is a joy to look around with so many interesting artefacts, some of which are used in the artwork which is displayed on the walls. You'll realise you're in very capable hands when you see the pictures of all the famous people he's photographed. From the outset he puts you at ease and you just relax into the shoot so that he gets the absolute best out of you. There's no time pressure and the session is pure fun. He has some fantastic ideas and the finished photos look amazing. Recently we've had family shots taken with our 2 dogs, which was always going to be challenging to get all 6 subjects looking their best, but Stu is a true pro and we've had loads of positive comments about the images which make me smile every time I look at them. In addition, I've enjoyed a 1:1 shoot for some dance photos with a creative twist and the final pictures are absolutely incredible. My 13 year old daughter is shy, anxious and I felt needed a bit of a confidence boost, so for her 13th birthday we thought a photo shoot just for her would be the perfect thing. There are very few photos of me throughout my life. I’m camera shy, awkward, self-critical and more. I delete photos, refuse to have them done, get upset when I see pictures of me that other people have taken, etc etc. Until I met Stu. I needed a professional profile photo of me for my social media and website. I’d had one taken before by another ‘professional photographer’ but it was less than average… I was disappointed. But determined to get a good photo of myself I continued my search for a professional photographer. I wanted to feel good about putting my face on show to the world through social media. For my business I needed to build my personal brand. Then I met Stu at a local business networking dinner. I cannot express how much I was pleased with the results of my morning photo shoot with Stu. He made me look amazing… but real! He managed to highlight all my good features! From the minute I arrived in his fabulous studio he put me at ease, put the kettle on, chilled tunes in the background. The studio is an experience in itself. Then for the shoot, he calmly and kindly took hundreds of photos of me from different angles, with different backdrops and most importantly for me, different lighting. What do you love most about your job?
Firstly it's not a job. It's my passion and what I call a hobby. I've been a professional photographer for 40 years and have loved every minute. I just love photographing anything, whether it's people, a building, a baked bean tin, it doesn't matter as long as I'm shooting!
What inspired you to start your own business?
A photographer friend said "you would make a good photographer". I thought well I love taking pictures so why not! I bumped into him a few years ago and he said "I was only joking!!!". Thankfully I did take his advice as it was the best recommendation ever!
Why should our clients choose you?
I would say I provide high quality service to suit all budgets. Having been a pro photographer for 40 years there isn't much I don't know about lighting, photoshop and different elements of photography.

BUSINESS PORTRAITS
