Since 2008 Matt has been pushing his clients to new levels of success and inspiring others with his unrelenting positivity and desire for knowledge. Certified through NCSF he's also a KA certified kettlebell trainer, a TRX certified suspension trainer, a USAW certified Olympic weightlifting and strength coach and is currently undergoing The Biomechanics Method Corrective Exercise training.

Matt is an incredible personal trainer. I was impressed with his knowledge base and years of experience. He has a fun, yet calm manner, and very positive. His entire focus is on you during the training session. He will put together training routines for you to follow when you aren’t able to make it to his gym. Matt is insightful in determining your strengths and areas of focus, but willing to help you make incremental progress in order to reach your goals. I contacted Matt in hopes of utilizing his training studio for an all Women’s fitness retreat: Unplugged, The Olympics. Not only did Matt kindly let us use his space, the studio was clean and very inviting! As a trainer myself, it was easy to see Matt’s passion and knowledge for his work! Matt is a fantastic trainer! His workouts are dynamic, productive, and FUN! He 100% knows what he is doing. He's got a ton of experience, and is a genuinely nice and caring person. His gym is welcoming and comfortable and not at all intimidating. He keeps me cracking up every hour of training with him (bonus ab workout)! But seriously his brain is fascinating when it comes to nutrition, physiology, anatomy, workouts etc. I'm a big fan of intuitive training and he can structure a workout to fit any- "body's" needs, ie: age, injuries, physical condition, and mood.... Super grateful to have found Matt and his gym. More...

Matt is the kindest, most inspirational trainer I've ever met. Not only is he extremely qualified and knowledgeable but makes sure you understand why he has chosen each set of exercises for you. I am not one that works out because I enjoy it necessarily, I do it because I know it's good for me. Once I started going to Strongpoints Fitness I looked so forward to each and every workout. I'm currently training at StrongPoints Fitness, and have been since April 2016. When meeting with Matt, I discussed that my primary goal was to lose weight. He tailors a a 4-week cycled program specifically to my needs.His dedication to my success is unfounded in any of the other gyms I've attended, this alone is the reason that I'm 4 months in and continuing to improve my range of motion, lose weight, and get stronger. Matt is an expert. His knowledge of fitness and anatomy, coupled with an upbeat and intuitive way about him allows him to guide his clients to the best they can be physically. He asks lots of questions before writing your fitness plan then teaches you clearly how to do each exercise. Matt has all of the tools required of an elite athletic trainer. I had the opportunity to train with Matt out of his Orange County gym and have nothing but good things to say:Pros:-Understands that all bodies are different and builds plans according to where we are in our fitness journey. -Has multiple certifications that enable him to teach a bunch of different methods based off of who he is training and what they need.-He is hilarious.  He can make a laugh out of anything. Cons:-He moved from OC to Sequim so I have to find a new trainer and nobody will ever be able to replace him.   :( More...

I've been working with Matt for a few months and he is AMAZING! Since Ive been training with Matt I've lost 30 LBS! I have so much fun when working with Matt, yet I get a lot done. I'm a larger girl and he has pushed me to do thing I never would even try on my own. Not only is he good at his job but he's a great person and helps me with my eating struggles and keeps me informed.   One of the best thing about working with Matt is the flexibility of scheduling, I am a working mom of two so setting a set time is not easy for me, Matt is always willing to work when its best for me not best for him :) .  My oldest daughter loves going with me so she can play in the kids club and watch me work out.. which it just more motivation for me to kick ass! I've been training with Matt for 3 months now at 4-days a week.  He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to create a completely personalized workout routine catered to your body and goals. Matt is hands down the best personal trainer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. When I first started training with him, I was the heaviest and unhealthiest I've ever been in my life. In just 3 short months, with Matt's brilliant training and excellent nutritional advice, I lost 20 lbs and finally felt good in my own skin! Matt is incredibly knowledgeable about an array of subjects from proper anatomy and physiology while he trains his clients, to nutrition and proper sequences of exercises to do.
