I spent a few hours in the salon, and I seriously felt like I hadn't been there that long.
Wonderfully relaxing space, amazing decor and rustic style.
Absolutely loved it, loved little Bronson, and Ruth had a plethora of stories to tell that were each as interesting as the last. Lovely woman, and cute pooch too.
Can't wait until my next visit.

I found ruth through a recommendation and I couldn't be more happy that I did! She is so lovely and worked wonders on my hair that originally was not what I had asked for elsewhere. Have been to Strom numerous times and couldn't trust anyone else with my mane; Ruth is brilliant at what she does. The salon atmosphere has a chilled feel to it, with the addition of Bronson her French bulldog who is very cute. I feel very comfortable in the salon and I could talk to Ruth for hours. This was the first time I had any colour in my hair. Ruth spent a lot of time in the consultation finding out exactly what I wanted and paid attention to the pictures I showed her. The result is amazing. Everyone loves it and my hair is also in lovely condition. Think the Phyto products are great too. She also cut my little girls hair and that is great also. Thank you so much. I can't recommend Ruth and the salon enough. I spent the afternoon there last week for a colour correction and can't believe how happy i am with the results! When i was told i'd be in the salon for four hours i came prepared with a book and some magazines, i didn't even get them out of my bag. We just chatted the hole time, it was like spending the afternoon with a friend. An added bonus was Bronson, he gives the best cuddles. Looking forward to my next appointment already :) More...

I loved this place! I thought I'd try somewhere new and was not disappointed. I was in for over 4 hours for my balayage and a cut and blow but the time flew by! Ruth is so lovely and with her little French bulldog Bronson it has the most chilled out atmosphere.
Hairdressers can be loud and hectic but I spent 4 hours chilling out getting cuddles from Bronson, drinking tea and listening to the Beatles!
Such a unique place. I already can't wait to go back! X More...

I've been thoroughly spoiled for salons now - my new colour is gorgeous, the process was really quick compared to what I'm used to with dying curly hair, and Ruth was great to talk to the whole time.

I live in Preston but I am more than happy to make the 40 minute journey to Strom every 5 weeks to get my hair done. Wouldn't go anywhere else now! The salon has an awesome vibe and energy, and it's super cool and chilled. Ruth the owner is friendly, honest and her artistic style and skills leave you and your hair feeling amazing! I am vegan and Ruth uses and carries a wide range of cruelty free hair prodcuts, just another reason to give it a go.. Oh and did I mention Strom's super cute in house dog, Bronson?! Doggy cuddles whilst you get pampered...what more could you want? ❤ More...

I've always hated going to hairdressers in the past, coming out with hard hair sprayed hair, too dark, too brassy, un-natural cuts, not what I've asked for! Then I had my wedding coming up - so after years of box dying, I thought I'd give it one last shot... went to Ruth at Ström - and it was so worth it. She's not only absolutely amazing at colour and cutting, giving depth with colour, and getting your hair looking exactly how you want it, but she's also honest. She won't tell you miracles will happen if you pay £5 for an extra condition on a wash. She'll also tell you if it'll take a couple of visits to achieve the look you want. But she definitely gets your hair there. An added bonus is that she's bloody lovely, and has an adorable dog that if you're lucky will make an appearance. Could not recommend her more. 5*+ More...
