As an interior designer it's very important for me to have good people to do the work for me. Stonemade stepped in after being let down by our builder and turned around the concrete top quickly. Casper was especially helpful and I told, Andy, the owner, that he was lucky to have Casper on his team as I know more than most how difficult it is to get good trades people. Great people and a fantastic product!As part of our kitchen renovation we were creating a *big* island - just over 3 metres long and 1. 2 metres wide. Our biggest problem was the worktop - we wanted it to be a single piece, initially thinking quartz or granite. But the size had every supplier worried - even those that could make it weren't sure they could deliver it safely, as it would weigh over 200kg and we live in a 2nd floor flat.Then we found Stonemade online, and an email exchange confirmed they could cast a concrete worktop on-site, which removed the problem of getting the complete piece upstairs (and the danger of breaking the worktop, the stairs, or the people in the process!).The guys were incredibly flexible to fit themselves around our kitchen install, as the cabinets had to be in place before they started. Their team drove overnight for 6 hours (we're in Glasgow) to be at our place for 9am on the Saturday morning. Adam and Kacper were a pleasure to work with - they created a mold on the Saturday morning, with openings for our sink and hob, and poured the concrete in the afternoon.They were back on the Sunday at lunchtime to fit the finished worktop. We enlisted some friends (6 of us in total) to help lift the worktop into place (it weighs about 180kg). Then the guys spent hours meticulously sealing and polishing it, before leaving on the Sunday evening - they didn't get back home till midnight!The result is amazing. A beautiful, bespoke, single slab of concrete, designed to match our layout and coloured as we asked to contrast with our units. All done in 48 hours - and the guys kept the room tidy and cleaned up after themselves as well - we couldn't be happier. More...

I can’t recommend highly enough. My only requirement for my new kitchen was that I wanted concrete worktops. Non of the large kitchen companies I went to could supply these, so I found Stonemade Ltd online and contacted them directly. They gave a very reasonable quote and as soon as we were ready they came to measure and template. The whole process from templating, to production, to delivery and fitting was completed in less than 2 weeks and the worktops are EXACTLY as I imagined them to be. All the staff were very professional and helpful and did their best to supply the exact specifications that were requested, including the colour and texture of the work surfaces (which I gave a sample of from a photograph) They even made a few suggestions to make it look even better. We just moved into a new house and the previous owners did not treat the kitchen Worktops very well. Stonemade have worked a great deal at bringing the real attraction back. The entire team was cooperative and I think this is the most suitable company for real kitchen Worktops. The guys at Stonemade have done a wonderful job on our concrete countertops. We asked for several different pieces to be made and all fit absolutely perfectly! They came and measured on a Saturday to suit us, in spite of the 180 mile journey each way, and were the model of politeness. They took their shoes off when they came in and swept up before they left with their templates; 5 days later the countertops were ready for installation... when they arrived, they worked hard and had them all installed with a minimum of fuss and mess (again, tidying up before they left). What do you love most about your job?
The unlimited things we can do with concrete is just incredible, the only restriction we have got is the access to the site but we have done worktops that were over 5m and islands that were over 4x2.
Why should our clients choose you?
We have got the best leed times in the UK (7-14 days depending on the project), our material isn't that heavy as we use special techniques to minimize the weight of our products so there is no need to get any extra for your cabinets.
