Stoke Place

I stayed here for 2 nights recently for a wedding and the venue is breathtaking! The grounds are stunning and the building itself is quirky with beautiful rooms.
All the staff I encountered, from front desk to back office were friendly and helpful, a special shout to Petr (spelling..) for his support on the day amongst many others.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stoke Place if you're looking for a venue in the area, from weddings to babyshowers, conferences to a quiet spot to work in an inspiring environment.....they will take care of you. Thanks to all at Stoke Place. More...

Beautiful place for possible wedding venue. Very clean and bright. Couldn't envisage an isle though so may need to double take again when it's set up for a wedding and not a fayre. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. All wanted to talk and ask how our wedding planning was going. Waiter serving champagne very attentive. Location nice once you're in the walled gardens. Road outside a bit of a nightmare due to being very small and lots of traffic! More...

The food was lovely and the venue was excellent but the bar prices are quite frankly extortionate. If it wasn't for that I would give a 5 star rating but being charged £13 for a double shot of brandy and coke is diabolical. Other than that it's a great venue

Friendly staff, clean rooms with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Hotel is nice and quiet with charming decor and a lovely pond.

The venue is beautiful and a great setting for a wedding. There is ample space for just about any decoration, showpiece and/or attraction you want. The service was good and the MC was fantastic. The only downside was some of the waiting staff struggled with English so had to go and find colleagues to help us from time to time. Overall the venue was in immaculate condition. I like Stoke Place. As many have, we found the staff and the food really made our stay. Yes, perhaps it's a bit tired in places but it is a fabulous building and setting and the Stoke Place team all really seem to care about what they're doing. Loved it. Thank you.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff are very helpful and the grounds are lovely. We stayed in the enclosed gardens block as we had our dog with us. This was ideal and the converted stable block was fantastic. Highly recommended with or with taking a pet. More...

Beautiful venue - Has good facilities and the grounds outside are spectacular, perfect for a walk after a nibble. Speaking of food, they serve a really nice lunch with a good selection of dishes that represent the local area.

My company had a Bake-off style team build event at this easy-to-find charming country house. The quality and quantity of the food and snacks served was amazing. The extensive grounds, with picturesque lake, are great for walking around at lunchtime. The ballroom needs its wooden floor fixed as it has buckled in a couple of places but the rest is maintained and decorated to a high standard. More...

Very friendly receptionist called Camelia, lovely well kept grounds. Stayed in a cottage room which was spacious with a large bathroom and roll top bath. Fitted sheet had a few stains, as did the carpet - mainly at the entrance to the room. Otherwise, the room was well stocked with optional beverages to buy and the bed was very large and comfortable.
