To be clear didn't actually have any work done so can't comment on that.My other half recently came in with a car that had failed MOT elsewhere. The MOT tester at the other place wasn't particularly helpful, in fact his advice was outright incorrect. Took the car down to Stockport Tyre Centre as I read online they had a decent welding service. My other half took the car down the next day and left it with them until they could have a look.When she arrived she explained the issue, showed the MOT failure certificate, and they offered her fair advice there and then. Explaining might be fixable, might be costly, might not be worth it. Fair enough, very honest.A few hours later they phoned up explaining they had a look and the corrosion was fairly serious. Could be repaired, their welder could do it and do a good job of it, but as the sills are no longer made it'd cost a significant amount. We chose not to proceed with fixing the car, the guys at Stockport Tyre Centre said entirely fair enough and offered to take the car round to the scrappy just around the corner. My other half made a point of saying how friendly, helpful and approachable everyone was. The advice was spot on, helped us scrap the car there and then, and didn't take a single penny of my other half for the advice/time/having a look. Even offered to drive her just up the road home.I'll genuinely be back, sounds like a very honest and friendly garage. We're new to the Stockport area and I'm chuffed we have found a reliable place!Cheers More...
