To get started, I was offered a face to face introductory meeting with Laura, my Account Manager, but as I was very busy I couldn't fit this into my diary so we did this by phone instead. Laura helpfully answered the questions I had about how I should operate tax efficiently and some other queries I had. Since then, all I've had to do is keep track of my invoices and bank account entries in Free Agent and SG take care of everything from there. I can not recommend Stilwell Gray enough. We had a very difficult HMRC investigation and Stilwell Gray handled it completely. What could have been an incredibly stressful time was an stress free with their frankly exceptional service. So pleased were we with the service, that we have continued to use them for all of our tax needs. They are always helpful and their response time is extremely good. A friend of mine referred SG-Accounting to me when I was looking for a firm to work with. From the very first intro call, I was impressed by the very personal approach they follow working with their clients. Even though I was not going to register a new business right away back then, a company's manager took time to explain all the little accounting/registration nuances of a trading business in the U.K. I have been working with SG-accounting for 6 months now and can only say good things about my experience. They helped me with every aspect of running a small business - registration and paperwork, bank account opening, VAT registration, accounting etc. The part that I value the most - my company's supervisor - Laura, always replies within the same day. These guys have been great.
