Jeramie was very courteous & professional explaining several theories of why my water heater alarm went off. We are in a watch & see mode if it happens again as there isn’t any visible sign of malfunction. Possibly rain water leaked through a small roof opening or power interruption created the alarm & shut off water heater. I will definitely use Still Water for future plumbing situations. This one was a mystery.

Jeramie offered suggestions & instructions for the problem if it persists.

These guys were very professional and did a great job. I'm still in shock over the price. We had a toilet back up caused by a wedged q-tip my son flushed. The toilet had to be removed and a long device had to be fed in the pipe with a camera on the end. So of course they had to put the toilet back and reapply the caulking. Seems like a lot of work...so probably accurate charge. More...

Q&As

We love helping people! Our company is founded on four generations of pursuing excellence in the plumbing trade. We take great pride in what we do and understand that as plumbers we help protect the health of the nation!

At the age of 22, I became a Master Plumber in the State of Texas and was blessed to become a Partner in the family business. This new role in the company required me to expand the company by establishing connections and licenses, while completing jobs in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Traveling was an extremely valuable experience, because it exposed me to many variations of local codes and methods in our trade.

Time for all that traveling ended on April 21, 2012, when I met the other Partner in Still Waters Plumbing, my beautiful wife Darcy. Her background in accounting and hospitality inspired a new company birthed in a familiar tradition. Our life has been marked with similar experiences of being lead to still waters, which was a natural fit for our company's name. Still Waters Plumbing is comprised of a team of kin and adopted kin that bring a multifaceted talent pool together for a common purpose.

At Still Waters Plumbing, we understand that the plumbing in your home is a complex system and can often be intimidating when unexpected problems arise. Our goal is to provide an experience that makes you feel comfortable and helps you understand the solution to your problem. We appreciate and value every customer and want to be the plumber that you refer to your friends and family!

100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. But honestly I hate saying that I want satisfied customers because if you are only satisfied I feel like I have failed you as a customer. I want to exceed your expectations. I want to provide such an amazing experience that you can not help but tell all your friends. We are very focused on quality and customer service. Our technicians are all lisenced and highly trained with well over 60 years experience to pull from. Our goal is to elevate your expectation of what your plumbing company can offer you!

Services

Is your shower or sink starting to hold water a few seconds longer each time you use it? Maybe there’s an unpleasant smell starting to come from the drain and you can't fix it yourself? Call Still Waters Plumbing located in Prosper, TX. We have the latest plumbing equipment to help you get out of your stinky situation. Drain cleaning can be a time consuming and unpleasant process, that our expert plumbing technicians will happily take care of for you.

No Hot Water? Electric – If you have no hot water, first check the circuit breaker. Turn the breaker off and back on. If after 30 minutes the water is not warming up, turn the breaker off, remove the top panel and push the red re-set button on the thermostat. If it has popped out, an audible click will be heard when it is re-set. Turn breaker back on.

If you still do not have hot water further evaluation should be done by the trained technicians Still Waters Plumbing.

Gas – First check to see if the pilot is lit. Do this by removing the cover at the bottom of heater or by looking thru the glass porthole in the cover. A small blue flame should be visible. The pilot may be re-lit following the instructions on the heater.

If the pilot will not re-light or stay lit, further evaluation should be done by the trained technicians with Still Waters Plumbing.

Gas (natural or propane) tankless water heaters are more efficient than a normal tank type heater. They only heat water as it is needed and shut down when water demand ceases thus using no energy. You are not constantly reheating water you are not using. With the energy savings and a typical 20 year life span (nearly double that of a tank type heater) they make an excellent choice when it comes time to replace your old heater. You will enjoy endless hot water — no more running out half way through your shower again!

Be sure to run water in your disposal during and a few minutes after use. This helps to carry the food particles down the line and prevent stoppages. Make sure power is off before trying any of the following.

If your disposal hums but does not run, it is jammed. Some disposers have an opening in the bottom to insert a 1/4″ allen wrench to twist the motor back and forth to unjam.
If your disposal does nothing when the disposal is turned on, look for a small red button on the bottom or side. This is a re-set. Push it and try switch again.
If you need a new disposer, we offer a 1 HP Pro model with a 10 year warranty.

Most water meters have a small red triangle on them that will turn when the slightest amount of water moves thru the meter. If the triangle moves with no water running the house, this indicates leaking pipes somewhere.

To determine if the leak is inside or outside your home, locate the emergency shut off (if accessible) where the water line first enters the house. Shut off the valve and observe the meter again. If the triangle continues to turn then the leak is between the meter and the house. If the triangle does not continue to turn then the leak is inside. Inside- One or two dripping faucets or a toilet that runs can add a lot to your water bill each month. Outside- A hole 1/32 of an inch in a pipe at 60 lbs of pressure will leak 6000 gallons a month.

High water pressure can cause a lot of problems. Everything from dripping faucets or toilets that will not shut off, to shortened water heater life, to burst pipes or washing machine hoses.

High water pressure can also cause a condition known as water hammer or noisy pipes. This is the thumping or growling noise you may hear in your pipes, especially at night when water pressure is at it’s highest.

Our technicians can check your water pressure to see if it is too high. If your pressure is above 55-65 pounds, you may need a pressure reducing valve installed or your old one replaced.

If you have a dripping faucet constantly, high water pressure or worn parts could be the cause. When trying to locate a washer, stem or seat for your faucet, we suggest taking the old part with you. Faucet parts come in a lot of sizes and shapes.

Pipe Joint Leaks

Water line leaks can be difficult to locate and repair. The leak is not always where the water shows up. A leak in a straight run of pipe can sometimes be fixed temporarily using a pipe repair clamp. A leak in a fitting is more difficult to repair.

Do not assume the leak will fix itself or diminish over time. Small leaks generally become big leaks that result in expensive repairs and property damage. Call the experts at Still Waters Plumbing to assess your leak problem and fix it promptly!

At Still Waters Plumbing, we have the technology that it takes to locate a slab leak from your service meter to any manifold inside the house. We will find the exact location of the water line, either cold or hot, that may be causing the slab leak. A slab leak repair service call will include the following:

-Slab leak detection
-Slab leak detection from water main service meter
-Water main detection
-Water main water pressure
-Slab leak detection and repair
-Copper line evaluation

If the washer has become too worn prior to replacement, the metal will grind against metal and damage the valve seat. Water particles and mineral deposits can become trapped between the seat and the washer so that closing and opening the faucet handle grinds the particles inside and damages the seal beyond simple washer replacement.

Removing a faucet seat requires a special seat wrench. After removing a seat, it can sometimes be fixed by rubbing it on a piece of sand paper placed on a hard, flat surface to even out the face of the seat.

If the seat needs replacing, take it with you when hunting a new one. There are hundreds of different seats.

Inside or outside your home, We have the knowledge and equipment to re-pipe water or sewer lines and bring them back to perfect.

Water lines — If your home has galvanized water lines, over time the flow of water will become restricted by the build up of lime and calcium on the inside of the pipe. This will decrease the volume of water available to use more than one fixture at a time. For example, your water pressure would be low if you tried to take a shower and run the dishwasher at the same time.
Sewer Lines — Having to clear a clog in a sewer line more than once a year is just treating a symptom of a bigger problem. The problem could be a broken pipe or roots in the line. In either case, we have the equipment to see inside the pipes and determine the exact problem. Remember perfect plumbing does not stop up.

Still Waters Plumbing has the expert knowledge and experience with natural gas systems to repair natural gas lines at your home or business. We will get the job done right for you, the first time. Natural Gas and Propane that comes out of the ground is completely odorless. The egg smell associated with natural gas is a chemical mixed into it so that we can smell it. If you smell a gas leak in or around your home, there are safety precautions you should take to protect yourself, your family and your home. Call us right away for help with a gas leak.
