Steph is simply amazing. Five weeks before my wedding, I collected my dress from a city centre shop and was very anxious when it did not fit me well at all, and the shop did not feel able to offer the necessary adjustments. I contacted Steph who assured me ‘she has never come accross a dress yet that cannot be altered to fit’. She also offered the pearl of wisdom that as long as it’s the right man at the altar, then everything else will be ok! I trusted her 100% with my dress, it was a big job but she never seemed phased. It now fits me perfectly and I can’t wait to wear it on Friday to my wedding. I can not recommend Steph highly enough, she is extremely talented and such a lovely person. Thank you Steph! Wonderful dressmaker and wonderful person! Stephnie was able to accommodate my short turnaround time (in the middle of wedding season no less! ) and fussy material to alter my wedding dress to size. Stephnie is wonderful and incredibly skilled - she did extensive alterations on my wedding dress, really took it apart and made it new, and it was so beautiful. Her passion is what makes a difference, she suggested great ways to improve the fit as well as listening to my many demands! The result was a really unique dress that no-one would have known was not the original - the panel Stephnie added was perfect, looked part of the original dress. Apart from all of that, Stephnie is lovely! She made both my Mum and I feel so welcome and comfortable, the appointments were often quite emotional and Stephnie so was very supportive. I bought a strapless wedding dress and later felt too 'naked' without straps (being an older bride). Stephnie knew exactly what I needed and added the most beautiful straps which I loved and were much admired. She also made some other small alterations to make my dress perfect for 'me'. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Stephanie from start to finish.Our daughter's prom dress needed some alterations carried out and we were fortunate enough to find Stephanie Anne Dressmaking & Design. From first meeting Stephanie we immediately felt like best friends, it was quite amazing. This was due to her great warmth and kindness. She is a truly amazing person, and we can't recommend her highly enough for what she did for us. Having our daughter's prom dress altered was a joy.Her work is incredibly neat and her overall service both friendly and highly professional.The end result was more beautiful than we could ever have imagined, with Stephanie going the "extra mile" by adding beautiful diamonte straps. That made the dress look extra special and we were delighted with this attention to detail.We highly recommend Stephanie to anyone looking to have a dress made or altered for their special day.The finished dress was perfect and fitted like a dream. I would thoroughly recommend Stephnie. I had bought a simple dress from LK Bennett to wear as my wedding dress and went to Stephnie for some adjustments. As the dress was quite plain, we played around with accessories from flowers, belts and shrugs. I opted for Stephnie to make me a bolero and I was amazed at the time she spent with me from opting for a bolero to choosing the best lace to complement my dress. I went to see Stephnie originally to have my Mum's wedding dress altered for me to wear for my wedding. I really wanted to wear my Mum's dress but the style didn't suit me and I would have preferred ivory over it's brilliant white. Stephnie came up with the perfect plan of using my Mum's dress as the lining material - that way I got a dress the style and colour that was perfect for me as well as wearing my Mum's dress. The whole process from design to the finishing touches was a wonderful experience and Stephnie made quite a difficult time so much easier.
