I am a keen long distance runner and unfortunately suffered an injury a friend recommended I get a sports massage with matt stephenson. Matt is very professional and offers advise on stretches and diet which helped me recover from my injury. I have been a runner and footballer for many years, constantly slowed by injury. Following months of Physio, I had a sports massage by Matt and since then I have never looked back. Matt listens to what the problem is and spends whatever time you want on that issue. He also provides ongoing advice for stretching and strengthening work. Matt introduced me to herbalife a month ago. I have lost 1 stone in 3 weeks. Matt explained really well how to use it and the benefits of it, if done properly. I was recommended to Matt Stepehenson by my own Personal Trainer, for sports massage, and have seen him regularly for over three years now. <br />Over the years I have lost over 60kg in weight with a lifestyle change in diet and exercise, and Matt's massages have helped my sore muscles cope with an incresingly strenuous training regime. <br />I could say that Matt's sessions help repair the damage that<span id="moreReview369878" class="hide"> training does to my muscles, and prepare me to do it all again tomorrow! Matt has been my personal trainer for over 2 years. He gives alot of thought to my training and fitness requirements/limitations(I am 65 with many years of squash, rugby and road running behind me) and is very flexible in adapting routines accordingly. His motivational skills and setting of personal goals has been particularly instrumental in me achieving and sustaining a very satisfactory level<span id="moreReview315343" class="hide"> of fitness. He is knowledgeable about the limitations of the human body and, through his careful planning of physiotherapy and training routines, I have managed to keeep recurring knee and back problems at bay. I met Matt Stephenson in October 2011 when I decided that my decline into a plump middle age had gone far enough. Despite being a member of David Lloyd York for some time I had never been enthusiastic enough to climb the steps to the gym. I definitely needed the motivation of a personal trainer and Matt has proved to be the ideal person. We have met on a weekly basis throughout the autumn and I<span id="moreReview299397" class="hide"> can confirm that when Christmas came I was fitter and more supple than I had been for years. I have been a client of Matt's for 3 years. In that time I have lost 15kgs and at my most recent hospital check-up (I am a hypertensive diabetic) all my readings were better than at any time since I was first diagnosed in 1994. I am coming up to 65 and can now do (and enjoy|) vigorous exercise for over an hour at a time. My mental attitudes and motivations are also much improved. I have been having training sessions with Matt for well over a year and he has been a consistently excellent trainer. I came to Matt with a knee injury and he has adapted the training to accommodate this and has helped my knee to improve through his understanding of human biology and preparing training sessions to develop the appropriate muscles without putting unnecessary pressure on my joints. <span id="moreReview271844" class="hide"> Within 6 months of training sessions with Matt I lost over 2.5 stone, which whilst not down to these sessions alone, they have been a major factor - Matt has provided inspiration and motivation during our sessions and this has also encouraged me outside of our sessions. He has also given me dietary advice and encouragement. <br />Further to this I am now pregnant and Matt has again been excellent at adapting our training to suit the changes to my body and to follow medical advice, he is very knowledgeable and I completely trust his advice.<br />I can categorically say that these training sessions have made a significant difference to my life and I would recommend them to anyone - they are well worth the money.</span> More...

Matt has really helped me to build up my fitness through personal training sessions. He sets realistic goals and is highly motiviational. I never thought how much I would enjoy boxing! I started training with Matt over 2 years ago initially for help with my weight.I realised that I would benefit from his continued support to maintain it and the improved well-being that I experienced. He has always ensured I have worked within safe boundaries, matching exercises and content to my capability whilst encouraging me to achieve a fitness level beyond my expectations. I've had P.T. sessions with Matt for a good few years and due to different circumstances have made those years a roller coaster of achievements. Matt has worked hard to keep me motivated, encourage weight-loss and adjusting workouts when ailments and niggles make things too tough. With Matt being able to provide Sports Massage after a workout I felt tremendous benefit from a fortnightly 1hr<span id="moreReview268362" class="hide"> massage directly after a P.T. session helping my body to cope with the pushing of a hard workout and also recovery from ailments - this has been as much a necessity as the P.T. sessions.<br />I am leaving the country for 4-5 months and Matt has put a programme together so I can continue to workout plus setting some 'special targets' (which are sealed surprises) until I am back and we can workout together again!!! I see Matt weekly for general fitness training. Matt is a professional and knowledgeable trainer who understands when and how far to push to help the client achieve their best. I work as a Personal Trainer and see Matt for sports massage. Due to the physical nature of both my job and my training sessions I find that I often get tight, sore muscles. Before seeing Matt I was injury prone, often having problems with my hip and knees. Since starting regular sports massage the most I have had is 'niggles', which are eased after seeing Matt. I have used Matt now for over 2 1/2 years and have always found him to be a very conscientious Personal Trainer. I have been a client of Matt for about 5 years and has seen me through many ups and downs. He is thoroughly professional, but cares about you as an individual and treats you with respect. Each session he responds to how you are feeling that day and adjusts your programme to suit, but always motivating and trying to help you achieve your goals.<br />Matt is also an excellent sports masseur, and has<span id="moreReview268508" class="hide"> treated me for muscular stiffness in my calves (caused by stress - so its not just for sports injuries), stiff shoulders and a hip bursitis. I have been having personal training sessions with Matt for quite a few years now. In the beginning I had a painful shoulder, Matt was able to work with me and give me exercises to do to strengthen my shoulder slowly giving me confidence to work with it again. Unfortunately I had to have two operations on my feet hindering me again and during the time I was unable to visit the gym I piled weight<span id="moreReview266124" class="hide"> on. Again Matt helped me through this with personal training and my diet. I have now lost 2 stones in weight and I am back on track all thanks to the dedication and support of Matt. I starting using Matt over two years ago and he has helped with his positive approach to fitness in helping me to better myself at tasks set which have helped me in turn complete two marathons and maintain weight loss.
