Cannot recommend Stephens highly enough! We have just used them for our move to East Devon and all the way through from quotation stage, through to the actual moving date the whole experience was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Tracy was extremely helpful with organising everything for us prior to the move. Very recently moved with Stehens removals and cannot fault them. The guy who came round to survey was professional (unlike a local competitior) and Tracy in the office was great at the admin side and payment and using our own insurance was not an issue. The removal day was stress free mainly due to the great crew we had, friendly and professional. I asked them to move heavy equipment to another room when I initially asked them to put it in another, this was no problem for them at all and they even told me to put boxes down as they would move them for me! Can't speak highly enough of the service we received from everyone at Stephens. The admin people were friendly and efficient. The surveyor who visited was totally reassuring and professional. However, all of this was eclipsed by the removal gang who were absolutely brilliant. We had the full packing service and the care they took with even the most delicate items was faultless. Nothing was too much trouble. Although we've still got a few boxes to unpack, we have yet to find anything damaged and as the outstanding items are in general soft furnishings it looks likely to remain that way. Having said we received superb service from everyone, we feel we must give special mention to Dean and Jacob who were involved over the full 4 days of the move. Thanks guys you were great. More...

We found Stevens to be a first class company, from the first phone call to the office to the time the lorry pulled away from the new home, We dealt with Tracy on the phone who was superb dealing with the arrangements. The surveyor who visited was also very helpful, the move was over two days, on the first day the crew turned up early, as we had to go out, we left the house open for the chaps to start, by the time we got back 90% of the bedrooms were loaded, we were impressed with the way the furniture was dismantled and removed.when all the house and garage had been loaded i was asked to walk round to ensure all had been loaded.
On the move in day the crew were waiting for us at the property owing to a slight delay with keys,but all the garden and shed items had been unloaded, protective sheets were laid and the furniture unloaded, at the end we were asked if any furniture needed to be repositioned, or any garden storage units.
All in all the Stevens staff made our move alot less stressful than we expected,thanks Tracy, Terry, Mark, Steve and Ryan. Would definitely use again. More...

We were so pleased with our service from Stephens. We had the full pack and move package.
The team we had were brilliant, arrived on time and started work straight away.
Couldnt believe how quickly they worked, house and garden were packed and loaded onto the wagon within hours.
For someone with servere anxiety they made our move seem effortless, even the move into the new property was excellent.

I would highly recommend Stephens to anyone moving house. From the first person coming out to do an assessment for the quote to the office bookings and the team that came to do the move everyone was helpful friendly and efficient. The guys that did the move were amazing, they were professional, careful and efficient. They packed everything into the van, wrapping furniture where needed in such good time. Once we’d got the new keys they protects the floors and stairs and unpacked everything to the new house into the rooms we wanted things in. Dean, Jacob and Martin are my new superheroes! Moving is traumatic enough without having only 10 days between exchange and completion to do all the packing. Martin professionally packed all our fragile items so everything arrived safely. Our heroes kept everything very calm and under control – including us. They coped with a lorry having a tyre blow-out in front of them on the M1, a delay in the solicitors transferring funds while they had their prolonged lunch, and finally a seller who would not give us the keys although she no longer owned the house! Dean and Jacob also removed a wardrobe from our new home (with no damage to the house) that the sellers’ removers said they could not get out. I am a great fan of all Stephens Removals staff, including Tracy, Natalie in the office and the assessor Stephen, and will not hesitate to recommend them. Access to our property in Devon was difficult to say the least but even late into the evening after a long day and long drive, the unloading was done professionally and with good humour. Thanks to Tracey, Phil and Hedley for making our move a lot less stressful than it could’ve been. We had been recommended Stephens when we weren’t sure whether to get a man and a van or the proper shebang. With a toddler to deal with, we decided that we needed more help, so Stephen who came round to quote made a proper descriptive quote and we got exactly what we needed. Our furniture got looked after, they helped with dismantling the bed, cot and advised on the wardrobes. Both were professionals and clearly knew their stuff. Absolutely first class service from start to finish. We had to keep moving our completion date but Stephens were very helpful and accommodating and kept ringing me throughout the process to see how things were progressing. I've never used a removal company before, but moving from a 4 bedroom house I knew I couldn't manage it myself. I found Stephens on the internet after having contacted a couple of other companies that were rude and didn't call me back. I emailed Stephens and within 5 minutes I had a lovely lady call me back. I moved yesterday and was very impressed. I had 3 lovely blokes on my doorstep at 8:30am! They were all friendly and polite. Other than stopping for a quick cuppa they didn't stop working (or singing!) all day. Very happy chaps. They were organised and took great care in handling my personal belongings. I've never used a removal company before but moving from a 4 Bedroom house I knew I couldn't do it myself.
I found Stephens on the Internet after contacting a couple of other companies that were rude & didn't call me back.
Emailed Stephens & within 5 minutes I had a lovely lady call me back, took all my details & within minutes had arranged for someone to come round my house to look at it & give me a quote the following week, considering I was needing to move quite quickly!
I moved yesterday just over a week from contacting Stephens!
Very impressed!
I had 3 lovely blokes Dean, Ryan & Lee on my doorstop dead on 8:30am!
They we're all friendly & polite.
Other than stopping 4 a cuppa they didn't stop working or singing all day!! Very happy chaps!
